thanks for replying.  Lets see if any one else replies.  If not, maybe we can meet up some time soon.
I'll check back in a day or two.
22  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: SNB Illusion scarf can it be crocheted? on: February 22, 2006 11:06:00 AM
I was just wondering that yesterday!  hmm.  I would think that there would be some way to do it.  Maybe using
back post and front post stitches?
23  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: I simply must learn to crochet...can't maintain tension on: February 21, 2006 06:12:48 AM
I don't have any good tips, except keep going.  It takes a while to get the tension right  Go ahead and make something simple.  It doesn't matter if it looks good.  Go easy on yourself, it's different from knitting.
Good luck!

Nice job.  I like the color.

Is anyone interested in meeting fellow Cincy craftsters?  We could take over a coffee house for an evening or something.
Okay, I see people have read this!  Don't be shy!
I'll inroduce myself.  My name is Lara(surprise!), I live in Northside.  I am currently crocheting and sewing.  I love to go thrifting, I wish we had better craft stores, other than the chain variety.

That is gorgeous!   I love goldfish, and the colors definitely bring that to mind.

If you go to crochet pattern central, go to the stitches category, picot is under there.  It looks fine without it, it's just a way of finishing the edge.  You can also single crochet around the edges.

that looks great.  I don't think you need a flower, but maybe some picot edging on the bottom?

That is an awesome booty!  I love the ribbon on it.  I like Lion boucle, I made a great ruffle scarf out of it.

That hat really looks knitted to me.  Crochet Pattern Central is probably your best bet, but you may have to adapt something to make what you want.
