1  "Raw" botanical and lace party dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by themoonisout on: May 23, 2008 10:04:19 PM
Made this dress a while ago...had a funny shape to the bodice. I tacked it up just in time for a Student-Faculty mixer at my dorm. Yes the skirt's a little see-through, but I wore something under it before. Not like you can see anything Smiley I hope...

I used some ancient curtain fabric for the top and left it with unfinished edges. I like the fray. The weave is a really interesting texture too. The skirt is an old prefab curtain...So I guess it's part reconstruction.

It was really fun to wear, received lots of compliments. But now I don't have anywhere else to wear it Smiley Comments, etc, appreciated.

4  pimped out chucks in Shoes: Completed Projects by themoonisout on: February 15, 2007 10:57:38 PM
sooo i started out spray painting over my faded old, holey black converse. they were pretty cool. and i loved loved loved my ocher shoelaces. i ran out of silver spray paint. so i took them to my mom's shop to airbrush them with the big guns, plus with a primer basecoat and some sealer top coat. also, i went with an antique silver, which has brightened up after a few days, instead of a reg-ler one. but i left the shoe laces in my mom's car, and she went away for like 10 days. so i put some leopard, super shiney ribbon up in there. and now they're way over the top and awesome. Smiley

so this is my first real stencil, as in...i didn't start freehanding midway through.

i was going to add some stems, but i'm not sure. can you tell it's wheat? and does it need the stems?

sorry guys, didn't mean to start anyone off. i know the 10 commandments pretty well...i was just saying that this teacher who has so much influence on my 10 year old brother said it and i thought it was pretty crazy.
so back to real, physical ink. i like these roses a lot, i think they're the first ones to make me actually consider roses:

10  ripped jeans -- cute. fruits? in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by themoonisout on: November 09, 2005 04:54:53 PM
so i have these jeans. they don't fit all that well...way too big really. anyway, they ripped massively at the knee. so i sewed in some loops with embroidery thread and threaded some ribbon through that...and.....

cute? mum likes them a bit more now. i really like to wear those turquoise fishies with them.
the thread is light-bright purple and the ribbon is light seafoamy green.
