kaela - yours looks great!

i'm so close to being done with this blanket that i can taste it. i've decided that in 3 more pattern repeats i can quit and finish up the border. that should totally leave me enough time to mail this bad boy off by the 15th for a baby shower, right?

this is so cute! i'm at my parent's house now, but when i get home i'll go stash-diving to see what i can come up with.

that is such a great idea to stuff them with paper-y things! my cat is not a huge fan of the catnip either. and your kitties are so cute!
15  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / socks! on: July 15, 2007 08:36:38 PM
i have always loved the idea of knitting socks and have been buying sock yarn for years, but i didn't get around to actually knitting any until this summer. here are my first socks!

i used lion brand magic stripes and the pattern right inside the label. i'm giving them to my mom for her birthday next week. i figure people with july birthdays have a real shortage of things like wool socks among their birthday presents.

here's the real question though, what do i do with what's left of the yarn? it's practically enough for a third sock! real useful...

i finally have a picture back from the gf's camera. i am further along than this now though. i am using bernat softee in pale yellow.

i am about to take this blankie as my only knitting project on a roadtrip to reno. hopefully i'll be able to just about finish this baby up. then it will be off to some unsuspecting friend's house with no cats to wash, block, and wrap minus the cat dander. Smiley

those are both beautiful! i've been on the fence about whether or not to make this, but you've convinced me. yours are both gorgeous; i want one!

I feel like I've seen the Ingenue Blouse before.  Like in a book or something?

i think it looks a lot like an anthropologie sweater from last year. i'm super-excited to finally have a pattern for it!

thanks nixx, that's good to hear!

i won't be able to start work on this for a bit as i am in baby blanket hell (why is everyone pregnant at the same time?), but i'll be watching all of yours!

do you think this would look good in a non-fuzzy yarn, like knitpicks shadow for instance? i would love to splurge and buy something pretty (and new!), but i have the shadow sampler pack and nothing to do with all those single hanks...
