1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Big box full of 45s - what to do? Ideas?? on: November 02, 2006 04:54:57 PM
I got a great deal on a box full of old 45s, and I'm looking for some kind of crafty project for them.  Does anyone have any ideas??

I thought if I could find a way to plug the big old hole, I could make the ever-popular record bowls, but I am open to any and all suggestions!

Thanks!!!
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / 30th Birthday Craftiness on: October 19, 2005 07:29:35 AM
I posted these to the original thread I started (begging for ideas), but I wanted to put it here to get some feedback, since it's my first "finished product" that I'm posting...Let me know if I'm doing this wrong...

This is the outside of the card and envelope I made for my boyfriend for his 30th birthday:

The inside of the card (the text reads, "This birthday is just a stepping stone on the way to who you will be and what we will be together."):

This is the actual stepping stone that I made (text reads, "Time does not change us; it just unfolds us."):
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / 30th Birthday present--NEW PICS!!!! on: September 26, 2005 01:11:32 PM
Ok, so my boyfriend is turning 30, and for those of y'all who have been there, this is a pretty big deal.  I would like to make him something special and memorable (I already bought him some sweet recording equipment, so the "purchased" portion of his present will RAWK!!).  We are both cheesy/lovey people.  Here's the catch:  money is no issue, but TIME IS!!  His party is on Saturday.

Any ideas?
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Preferred Adhesive? on: September 07, 2005 08:49:20 PM
I am relatively new to scrapbooking, so I'll be asking lots of questions!!

What is everyone's preferred adhesive?  I've tried several, and so far my favorite thing is good ol' fashoined glue stick.  For heavier embellishments, I love mm metal glue, and for textured items like fabric and lace I like a more liquidy "gel" type glue.  But for the price and ease, glue stick is tough to beat!

What do you guys dig?
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Scanning page layouts on: September 07, 2005 08:44:34 PM
I see on some sites a lot of people who scan in their finished pages--not digi scrapping, but scanning in pages that were actually hand made.  I just finished two large scrapbooks to surprise my boyfriend's mother on her 70th birthday, and I'm quite proud of some of the layouts.

Here's my question:  how in the world do I find a scanner that can handle 12x12 pages??  I have a rinky-dink 8 1/2 x 11 at home and at work where we work with engineering drawings we only have 11x17.  Do I need to invest in professional equipment? Huh

Thanks!
