22  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Travel Game Bag for kids on: December 29, 2005 09:24:34 AM
I would like to suggest a challenge. I am currently trying to figure out how to make a travel game bag for the kids while we are on long trips. Something that is compact and has many games in it. Almost like a book that would zip up or something like that.

Maybe the outside of the bag could be the game board for tic tac toe for an example.
Has to be kid friendly and parent friendly.
23  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / 2 new bags I have been working on today on: December 21, 2005 02:25:46 PM
Honest opinions please~~ I can take it!

24  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / America Tote with matching checkbook cover on: December 07, 2005 01:30:49 PM
I am trying to make christmas money so I have been on a sewing rampage trying to sell my purses...even to people in line at the grocery store. If someone compliments me on my purse. I tell them it's for sale..Some think I am crazy, but I have sold one that way..LOL..

I put 2 pockets on the inside, and another on the inside of the flap that closes the purse. It could probably hold sunglasses.

I also made a matching checkbook cover.

25  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / my sparkly bag/purse on: December 05, 2005 05:57:11 AM
I made this for my aunt for a christmas present. She was doing a craft show the weekend after Thanksgiving in North Carolina, and she said that purses was one of the biggest sellers. Especially the sparkly ones.  She wanted one, so I made her one, I got the fabric at a yard sale for $.75..and there was about 1.5 yards. I can probably make 2 more like this out of it...So the whole thing with all of the materials used cost me about $1.50.  I figured that's not bad for a nice christmas present!! I like bargains!!

Let me know what you think. I hope she likes it.

27  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / 7 up Jordy Bag and my furry tote on: November 27, 2005 07:24:46 PM
This is what I did today, plus another brown one without the fur on the top..I have been sewing all day!! I am going to bed now.

ON the back of the 7 up I put a clear pocket out of vynil..I didn't picture it, because it didn't show up.

28  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My button tote...Its definitely different on: November 07, 2005 06:20:48 AM
Here is my latest creation. I was tired last night when making this, and I didn't know when to stop...LOL...The buttons and beads looked cute, but then I found a tube of green paint laying beside me, and I went a little crazy with it. I ruined it with the paint, but It's still kinda cute.

I put the buttons on the top near the sides of the purse because when it was opened up, it was way to wide. and I closed it up a little bit with buttons..It worked perfectly.

Also I used beads on the bottom for feet.

Comments appreciated.

30  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Mini Shrug. Sew Sexy on: September 29, 2005 10:13:52 PM
Size large/extra large. This is a light weight black nylon shrug. The collar is made from a retro necktie! It has a zipper front to make sure it fits just right! I have hand sewn all the beads and tassels all the way around the bottom. There are over 1000 beads on this shrug!

Sleeve are 3/4 length.

This could be worn alone or over another top.

Let me know what you think of this! Too bad it doesn't fit me!! I just had to make one to sell though. It is made from another shirt, and several other repurposed items.
