1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / from dreaded to RED! Love my new chairs! on: July 14, 2010 03:16:09 AM
I finally got around to recovering my dining chairs. They are covered in paint from my wonderful children and I am sure there are a few spots on there from me too Smiley My kitchen is in red and lady bugs. So they fit in nicely now!

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / My Easter table cloth. on: March 22, 2010 07:46:29 AM
I haven't quilted it yet, but it will hopefully get done before next Easter. I also made curtains that look just like the table cloth, I just have to finish the top on them. But I love the way it turned out. While doing this table cloth, I realized that my table is as big as a twin size bed! No wonder I can't find table cloths to fit my table!

I used mostly pastel colors, (mostly pink). And a couple of my favorite fabrics that I didn't have enough of to make anything else out of. this is a great stash buster!

C&C welcome!

I was thinking about putting it onto a pillow

5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Old Church, I love photography on: December 06, 2009 12:24:13 PM
I am hoping this is the right place to post this. I recently took a trip to Mississippi(I live in Texas) and I was on a lot of back roads and saw this old church up on a hill. I zoomed in on it, and snapped the pic. I edited out the electrical wires and a propane tank to make it look "older" I love the way it turned out. I painted and old wood picture frame black, framed it and use my DD dymo label maker and gave it to a friend of mine for Christmas. She loved it(sorry no pics of it framed.

I know it's not so 'artsy' to photoshop a pic, but I'm old school and still learning photoshop techniques(my kids know more than I do..lol)

6  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / fake boobs? on: June 06, 2008 09:55:06 AM
I came up with an idea for a gift...for a man! Of course it's a gag gift.

And put a saying on it, like Mr. Mom... i don't know

I want to put fake boobs into an apron! So when the guy puts on the apron it looks like fake boobs.

I bought a tank top with the bra built in and the cups were wayyyy too big. The cups are formed...so they stand out on their own. i was thinking about taking that bra out and using that...

But i want to make a couple of them...and i wanted ideas on how to "stuff" the apron..And make it look professional.

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / crocheting bath towels? on: November 05, 2007 08:28:51 PM
Does anyone know if it would be a good idea to crochet a full size bath towel? I don't mean crochet the edges around a terry bath towel. I mean do the whole thing crocheted. I have made hand towels and wash clothes, and I love them. I was thinking about doing a bath towel set for a xmas gift, but wanted feedback on it before I started it. Thanks so much
