11  Re: Poe Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by anna-begins on: March 25, 2006 07:17:20 PM
I'm so glad you got my package today, EowynUlysses. Thanks again for organizing such a great swap. I loved crafting for this swap because it let me reacquaint myself with some of Poe's work. I took some pictures before sending everything out (except for the little shrine, I made that as an afterthought when I realized i needed something to put the bracelet in).

Bracelet (I wish I could take credit for making the raven charm, but I found it at a bead shop):

Trinket Box:

Black Raven Tea (this is so good - if you ever see it pick some up - it's yummy!)

Hi everyone!  Ok, you all should have received your swap partner information.  Please let me know if you didn't get it or if you have any questions!  I've listed the partner information on the first post of this thread at the bottom so please make sure it matches what I sent you!

Have fun crafting! Oh, and HAPPY ST. PATRICKS'S DAY!

So, I'd thought I'd post this here too. (see original thread https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=55090.0)  Here's where I'm at with the Sesame Street quilt I'm making for my niece!

Ok!  So here's where I'm at with the Sesame Street Quilt for my niece. I'm really happy with it so far.  It's still not quite finished, I'm going to put a colorful border around it, but you get the idea.

tickle_me_ally received my package & said she could post pictures or I could since I took some before sending.  So, here's what I made her!

Amelie Trinket Box - I decoupaged this box with red mulberry paper (inspired by amaryllisroze's shrine boxes).  Amelie and the "nobody's little weasel" are made out of shrink plastic.

Gnome Pillow - "It's Better to Help People Than Garden Gnomes.  ~Amelie Poulain"

Some Eiffel Tower Fabric and some French Lavender Soap(well the lavender oil used for this batch of soap was actually from Sequim, Washington, but I had to keep with the Amelie theme, right? Wink)

This swap was so much fun! Bring on round 2!   Grin

Hi Guys!  I'm getting so excited for this swap!  I wanted to let you all know that sign-ups will be starting in a week or two!  I think I'm going to do a two week sign-up period with a month of crafting time.  There seems to be a lot of interest in this swap and it's going to be a blast!

*in my best Crazy Harry voice* "Did somebody say blast?"

Watch for an update!

I received from tickle_me_ally today!  Wow!  She is *so* creative! She made a wall hanging with a mirror that has Hipolito's quote "Without you, today's emotions would be the scurf of yesterday's." and a fantastic decoupaged collage hat that she made to look like the one the girl is wearing in the Renoir painting!  Here are some pictures, but they don't do justice to her awesome projects!

I love everything, Ally.  Thank you so much!   Kiss

I received from seaofstars today!!!!  I am one lucky girl!  She sent me an AWESOME makeup bag and 3(!!) bracelets!  Rachel, thank you so much!  You are so talented.  I love everything.   Kiss

Makeup Bag   (I couldn't get a good picture of the lining, but it is the same pattern of the band going across - love it!)

Since it's going to be about a month or so before signups start for this swap I thought to help keep this thread alive I'd post some pictures of retro "Muppet Crafts" that were out during the 70's and the 80's.

Shrinky Dinks Kit:

greenveggie (Kale) received the package I sent here today and asked that I post a picture.  She asked for something with a Muppet theme & I just so happend to have some warm fleece with Kermit the Frog & Animal on it so I made it into a blanket for her.

Glad you like it, Kale!
