11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Calling all devil & cat worshippers... on: May 30, 2005 04:26:54 PM
Well, I should say all felt devil worshippers. I scanned these next to a quarter to give you an idea of size.I'm going to turn them into cute little pins. I think they're a bit too big for rings. (even by my standards and I wear a wopper!)

Comments, opinions? I'm listening.

12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Opinion needed on felt skulls on: May 15, 2005 04:58:28 PM
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I submit to you these 5 white felt skulls. Each one is a smidge different from the next. I need opinions/ comments on which one you all favor. Please take a look and let me know. They are about 1.5" in size. I will be making them into pins. I just can't decide which mouth I like...

I am just about to scan some colored skulls that are very "sugar skull" like. I will add them to this post.

Thanks to you all!
13  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Felt Cha-Cha Heels on: April 24, 2005 08:22:11 PM
Oh yes I did! That's right, high heel felt shoes. I put a quarter in so you can get an idea of the size. They're a bit too big for rings so I'm making them into pins. I am realizing that it's pretty dang easy to make a pattern, cut it out of cardboard and then trace it on to felt. Hope you all enjoy.

14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Ms. Pacman & Elvis kitty felt mobiles... on: April 02, 2005 10:44:23 AM
So these are actually mobiles that I made like a couple of years ago but I didn't have a digital camera. I am SUPER proud of the Ms. Pacman mobile. I used clear fishing line to hang each piece to give it that look of "Pacman action!" The cat mobile just screams "Hunka-Hunka Burnin' Love."

Hope you all enjoy them as much as I do.

15  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / New Mom going back to work on: March 22, 2005 03:23:43 PM
I'm going to take a chance and post this topic here. I have a friend who lives in Vacaville, CA. She has been a mother for 'bout 4 months and has chosen (she has a husband that works full time as well) to go back to work as a medical technician in a pediatrics hospital. The thing is, her office has no part time positions available for her so she's going to work full time. I am putting out the call for any kind of support or mother advocate groups in the Northern California area that she could contact. Do any of you have any suggestions? I don't mean this to be a sob story, cause lord knows I had to go back to work full time after I had my daughter too. I just thought you all might have some suggestions to ease her back into work. She is really struggling with this and I KNOW she's not alone.

Thanks you guys,

16  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / New Website of Ghoulish Proportions on: March 17, 2005 12:04:41 PM
Hi, I don't normally dabble in this section but I have a good friend with a new website displaying his artwork. They are mostly mixed media of the sick and twisted variety. He has collaborated with Alan Clark of the "Pain Doctors" (one of my personal favorite books) in several pieces. Here's the link: http://www.spiritone.com/~nightmarefactory/nightmarefactoryhome.html

Please take a peek and give him some feedback.

17  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Used Microsoft Quickbooks on: March 02, 2005 03:44:57 PM
I have used the search feature and not really found what I'm looking for. Does anybody have a used copy of this that I could buy off 'em? Dang they are expensive on eBay!

18  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Yep - Tiny felt flower rings on: February 14, 2005 03:18:09 PM
So here are a couple of scans that I did of some felt flower rings that I've been completely obsessed with lately. I found some great affordable silver plated and gold tone adjsutable rings at www.rings-things.com and voila! Instant rings!! The pics. are what they look like before I glue them to the rings. I know myself and they are just going to start getting smaller and smaller as I get more comfortable with making them. Right now they all average about 1" accross. I'm going to sell them for $5.00 a pop and $6.00 if they have a rhinestone on them. Please let me know what you think.

I also wanted to say thank you to all the fabulous members who've shared their fun felty ideas with me over the past year. I have been given so much inspiration and ideas from you all!

19  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Attention those looking for adjustable ring blanks on: January 26, 2005 06:54:32 PM
I just got my Rings and Things catalog and lo! on page 18 they have"Disc Rings." They are perfect for making rings, although they aren't meant for long term jewelry. Here's where to go:

www.rings-things.com, go to "Online Store", "findings" and then type in adustable rings. You can choose from 3 colors and they seem to be decently priced.
