31  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Record Bowls on: April 20, 2006 10:56:35 AM
I saw this once before on craftster, but never know how to do it.
I found this website today: http://www.roxycraft.com/recordbowl.htm
It says to use and oven heated to 120*F and put record in for 2 minute increments.  Do you think I could use a heat gun instead, or would an oven be better?  Also, does the record mess up the bowls you are using, or do they come out as clean as before?  I'd have to use my mom's bowls and I don't want to mess them up.
Thanks for answering my questions in advance.  You guys are great!

33  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Biology/Nautilus/Sea Critter Patterns on: April 19, 2006 10:33:10 PM
Hey fellow crocheting craftsters!  One of my good friends is deeply in love with sea critters and other animals.  His favorite animal is the nautilus, but he's a biologist, so nearly any animal is cool.  I'm looking for some patterns to crochet him some stuffed animals for his birthday.  I'd prefer stuff like a nautilus, squid, octopus, insect, or odd/unusual mammals, reptiles, birds.  He's also into various biology concepts, especially genetics, so a stuffed DNA would be cool too.  If you have any of these odd patterns, would you please pass them along to me!  Thanks!
34  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Duvet Cover Pattern? on: April 19, 2006 10:23:21 PM
I'm about to embark on creating a duvet cover from a shower curtain and satin fabric spliced together.  I can handled the splicing and sewing part to get the two large front and back pieces.  However, I am stuck when it comes to the duvet.  I'm not quite sure how to make the closure on it...I don't care whether it's a button or ribbon/tie closure, I just need a pattern to show me how.  Does anyone have a duvet pattern for a twin size bed they can send me?  Thanks in advance!
35  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Plain Doll Clothing Patterns Wanted on: August 25, 2005 07:06:15 PM
Hi.  I've just recently gotten into sewing doll clothes.  I've been sewing human sized clothing for years now!  Anyway, I'm looking for patterns of Plain clothing for Barbie doll sized dolls, 18" American Girl sized dolls, and Cabbage Patch dolls.  If you have any Plain patterns that you will be willing to let me have a copy of, please drop me a line.  By "Plain" I mean clothing worn by Conservative Anabaptists such as the Amish or Old-Order Mennonites.  I'm looking for dress and apron patterns as well as the headcovering patterns.  Thank you!  Smiley
