I am also a "cheap hooker", my yarn of choice is Vanna's choice- but only on sale. i am excited to see your ripple. My current project is the hexagon from Attic24 . I cannot wait to begin the ripple. I have the attention span of a gnat so hopefully it will go quickly. Beautiful colors and work.

Oh my freakin goodness!!!! My daughter will flip when I show her this. Great job, and the cup cake in the head is wonderful. You could also make one with the belly full of tuna.
6  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Spring = Flour on: March 19, 2009 06:20:07 AM
I have also learned to make challah in the past year. i'll definitely give King Arthur a try, I currently use unbleached flour for most of my baking. i notice  a BIG change in the texture from unbleached to bleached , also from brand to brand. I plan on doing some baking Friday or Sat, can't wait to try the new flour.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: I made a pillow on: March 15, 2009 06:44:39 PM
cas72, thanks! i have the attention span of a gnat , so long straight lines were not possible. i really like the idea of small shapes then I stitch them together. This works for my lifestyle ( busy mom of 5 girls) and attention limitations. Thanks everyone else, my sister really liked it alot.
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: My Dad's Craftier Than Yours!! on: March 13, 2009 07:57:16 PM
This is AMAZING!!!!!!You are super lucky to have such an artist as a father. My grandfather is like that, he does all the cooking, he welds sculpture, makes wine and curses more than any person on earth( he's also a Marine!). He sounds like great fun and a wonderful , involved, father. You are blessed. PS your knickers are adorable, but maybe its the model.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Easter dresses on: March 05, 2009 10:34:56 AM

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Easter dresses on: March 05, 2009 10:20:28 AM
Here are 2 dresses i made last easter. I was very broke, so I used an old dress as a loose pattern and used fabric from my stash. I used scraps to make the applique to add personality.
