1  Craft Swaps / ACTIVE SWAPS WHERE SIGN-UP PERIOD HAS CLOSED / Re: Little Good Things Round 2 -cosed, sendouts Jan 6 on: December 16, 2019 05:46:53 PM
Yay for partners! I started stalking Pinterest and got distracted by a recipe for butterbeer fudge. We will be testing that recipe out this week.

Ok, enough administrative stuff!  Who has good things for today?   Smiley

Good things:

This swap is turning out to be epic. I'm so glad to be on a break from school so I can play, too.

It's Friday, YAY!!!

I started working a new job a few months ago, doing aaaalllllll of the office work (from home) for a new mobile healthcare provider. Long story short, we are finally getting paid by Medicare, which is the bulk of our business!

Since I am only getting paid once a month now, except for my side hustle, I started a new budget method and I am ROCKING it. I've put more into savings and towards debt this month than I ever have and I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. I still have a good side budget for my needs and wants, I'm just more aware of my spending.

This weekend, I'm going to a hand bell concert, and watching my daughter play piano at a local bookstore.

Good stuff, guys!

I am so sad! Its because of Craftster that I was brave enough to try so many things. Ive taken many long swap breaks, but Ive always know that I can come back here to visit old friends and make new ones. I guess I will join reddit and I am on Instagram under the same user name.

Ugh. I never expected this. Its hitting me hard and no one I know in my day to day life will understand.

dharma_rebel I wasnt gping to eat those kitties you sent... I was going to try some and share them with DD#1... well I shared... but I ate most of them... those were delish!!  Ty

I'm glad they were good! My daughter picked them out - we have a post office at a boutique grocery store, and she thought I should send along a treat!

I had to get on my computer to see all the pictures better - they are smooshed on my phone. These mandalas are beautiful! I'm so glad I participated in this swap - stitching a mandala was good self care for me.

BTW, the book that I got the pattern for faemystique's mandala is on Amazon for $5.39 right now. It's called Mandalas to Embroider by Carina Envoldsen-Harris. I picked it up originally at the library hoping to find something besides a back stitch to use for mandalas and I loved the book so much I put it in my cart (anyone else put all kinds of stuff they never buy in their online shopping carts?). Then the price dropped and I couldn't resist buying it.

Finally, pictures. My package from faemystique arrived Monday evening and the last couple days have been hectic. But check this  out!

Here you can see all the stitching, and beads she added. We had a lot of similar items in our Pinterest- I actually started out with something similar that I wasnt happy with. Faemystique did a much better job than I was doing, so Im glad I switched it up. I also love the fact that it went on an epic road trip with her!

Here is the flag hanging in my room. Its so cheery and colorful.

And here are some bits and bobs she sent along. Looks like the makings of another prayer flag!

Thank you so much for the lovely prayer flag and for hosting this swap! Thank
