11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Huge felt + rainbow string + feather + sparkly pipecleaner Hair Ornament!! on: August 07, 2007 11:03:29 AM
I think this counts as jewellery/accessories?

I made this today when I probably should have been doing my Tech Coursework... but this was much more fun.

It's a huge hair 'Ornament', photographed on a medium sized notebook for scale.

It started off as one of those Pom-Pom fluffy things but I decided I really liked the way it looked before I cut it to make it all fluffy. I then just stuck some little felted balls I made a while ago, a plush heart I made and some feathers + pipecleaners on. Smiley

It's backed with some purple craft felt and everything was stuck on with Hot glue.

I can't wait to wear it! Cheesy

Wear it, it looks great!

And then I wont be the only one with a fan-shrinky necklace... i made one of Jarvis Cocker.

17  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Jarvis Cocker and Iggy Pop in 100% Poseable felt form! on: July 30, 2007 11:57:14 AM
What did you use to make it poseable? Are other parts also poseable, ie: arms, waist etc.? By the way, these are very cute.

I just made a wire frame in the basic shape of a person (Basically just folded one long peice of wire in half and twisted a shorter peice round the middle for arms) and sewed around it, adding stuffing as i went.

And everything is posable - in the corner of the second picture there is a really tiny demonstration of iggy Pop bending over and doing the splits, I'll put a better one up later. Smiley

And thanks! Smiley

I was gonna make a rather vulgar Iggy Pop reference here, but I decided against it.

Great job!

Haha Cheesy

I need to buy some clear PVC so I can make him some nice trousers...
18  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Jarvis Cocker and Iggy Pop in 100% Poseable felt form! on: July 30, 2007 01:11:28 AM
These were a hit at school. Smiley
I made these a while ago, but I'm watching my Pulp Live DVD which reminded me. Are there any other Jarvis/Iggy fans here?

They are fully poseable and come with a range of accessories, including the removable neon swim shorts they were pictured in Wink

A little light conversation:

Jarvis: Why do you look so happy?
Iggy: I've got lust for life.

Come to think of it, I have since added some 'scar tissue' to Iggy with a yellowy nail varnish pen Tongue

Mini action shots in the corner of the second photo.
Oh, and note the height difference between them...
