Grin hey hey guys..well Im workin on the tute...will do it on saturday since Im workin tonight and dont have enough time to do it now! but I did take some pics to show you how it's worn..its very oriental inspired.. it reminds me of a mini version of the kinda cummerbund thing geisha's wear...if you know what I mean. stay posted tute will be here soon..ITS DEAD EASY!!!

pics ive attached are a shot of me in the mirror for the profile, and then I got my mum to take a closer pic of the bow (as you can see she's not the greatest with a digital cam) and I had to lighten it so you could actually see the BOW!!! but its just givin you an idea)

3  Re: MY FIRST HOODIE - I'VE MADE ANOTHER ONE! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by kittell on: December 17, 2005 11:36:35 PM
hey hey...god I love this place, everyone is so encouraging of everyone else's creations... definitely best place on the net.

what Im adding is a pic of ANOTHER hoodie I made. I havent finished it though...cos Im thinking of doing it as a zip up one..cos this is a flannel fabric...$2 a metre..and not as stretchy as the original cherry hoodie but you gotta love clearance tables.

i lined the hood with leftover fleece from the cherry hoodie, but since im gonna make it a zip up, i'll need to line the inside..but with what? fleece AND flannel will be too bulky...and I dont know if I should go for something plain or something crazier than the skull fabric as the lining. also...bought ribbing to do the waist and the cuffs..but not too sure how to attach..little help?

ooh wow that's great. what company did the pattern?

The Pattern is by New Look 6784 but I dont know if its still available or not cos I went to the simplicity website, did a quick search and it came up with nothing, but I know we have a few of em at work...weird eh? maybe its the end of the line? I didnt cut mine up anyway hehe cos I intend to make a few, I just used huge sheets of tracing paper and copied the size I wanted hehe  Wink

Is that an old pattern or can you get it still? I want it :-p

well I only bought the pattern last week (26.08.05) at work. it's a New Look pattern by Simplicity, #6784. I went to the website but couldnt find it so i dont know what the hell's going on there. i just know that its a popular design (pretty generic) and at work we stock like 8 at a time (normally we only carry 1 or 2 at a time in the patterns office) cost me $5.99 AUD which I thought was good. I added a pic so you can see what the pattern looks like.. need anything else, just ask  Grin
