1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Hat from an online game (AFK Hat from Gaia) on: September 14, 2008 05:43:01 PM

Based off of this hat from gaiaonline.com

I made it out of Lion Brand Jiffy in white using 2 skeins. Took me less than a week.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Intarsia question on: October 13, 2007 08:13:50 PM
I just started teaching myself intarsia and practicing the technique with scrap yarn. Whenever I change from the old color to the new color, there is a bit of a hole between it. I try to get my stitches as tight as can be, but there is still a hole. What am I doing wrong?
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Simpsons/Futurama swap? on: October 03, 2007 07:25:24 PM
I'm such a big fan of Matt Groening's Simpsons and Futurama TV shows and I'd loooooooove to do a swap with those two shows in mind. What do you think?

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Kittyville question-garter stitch? on: October 03, 2007 07:31:50 AM
I tried making the Kittyville hat before using seed stitch for the band. The only thing is, I keep messing it up and starting over! Would garter stitch be an appropriate substitute for seed stitch?
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Problems with Knitty's Brown Bag pattern on: October 02, 2007 04:52:44 PM
I'm making the Brown Bag pattern on knitty's website. I already made the bag base now I need to start the bag body. The problem is, I don't know where! In the pattern it says to place a stitch marker at the end of the row. I did that. Now it says to pick up stitches on the adjacent side. What's the adjacent side? The short side closest to the needle point? The side away from the point of the needle? WHAT?
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / 42 inch flat screen TV cat ear cozy on: October 01, 2007 12:06:41 PM

I made that for a TV in my family's house. Inspired by pickled_pepper's monitor cozy. It took a little less than a week to make. I thought it would make a great stashbuster for all the gray yarn I had but I ended up having to buy more to finish it Undecided
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / How can I make this scarf without DPNs? on: September 27, 2007 08:31:06 AM
I really want to make the binary scarf from knitty: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTbinary.html  but the pattern calls for DPNs and I'm still a beginner. How can I knit it without DPNs?
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Black and red mohawk hat on: September 23, 2007 02:15:32 PM

Yeah, another mohawk hat inspired by a post here on craftster. I used red wool and Paton's Shetland yarn for this. I tried it on but the colors didn't really suit me so I'm willing to give it up in a personal swap. PM me if interested

Knitted knucks anyone?
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Gir crochet pattern? on: September 22, 2007 09:14:37 PM
Awhile ago, I saw a pattern for an amigurumi Gir (from Invader Zim). I googled it but I cannot find it. Does it still exist?
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / How to attach mohawk on hat with crochet hook? on: September 14, 2007 04:18:46 PM
My friend knitted a hat from a punk knitting book and since I'm a crocheter, she wants me to put the mohawk on. I read the description in the book but I don't understand how to put the mohawk on. Could someone dumb down the instructions for me?
