Awesome job on the costume! I recognised it right even though I haven't watched much of Bleach...been meaning to go back to it. And is that a Hanwei Practical Plus Katana I see you holding? Have one myself Wink

Gorgeous!!!! I love it you'll have to share what she thought!

Thank you!! I'm giving it to her tomorrow, so will definitely share what she thought! Cheesy

Pretty!

Thanks Cheesy My concern is that it could be too pretty...she tends to like more toned down things.

I'm normally not a bow person but I'm in love with the red chain bow one! And it goes really well with what you were wearing.

Sorry, a bit late in replying. If you still need someone's two cents, I suggests only putting a couple of each style out as that would look less cluttered. I would also probably colour cordinate them as well, as this well catch people's attention and usually makes them subconsciously switch from browsing to actually shopping.

Hope that helps!

This kanzashi is going to be a gift to a lady at work who's always been friendly and helpful towards me, she really is one of the sweetest people I've ever had the pleasure to met. Anyways, while I was wearing one of my kanzashi's as a hair accessory to work, she commented how lovely it was. As this is my last week at work, I decided to give her something as a thank you present for being so nice.

It's my first time making a kanzashi on a hair comb, it was an extremely messy job and I've managed to put glue on my favourite pair of jeans and give myself some blisters from the hot glue...really, the things we do for our love for crafting lol.

Update: I gave it to her and she loved it! I was so happy Cheesy

Here are the pics, do you think she'll like it?

Pretty!!  I especially like the teal one, it looks like it has some purple hints to it?

Thank you, though they are nowhere near the quality of your work Wink And yes, I think it's same coloured silk dupioni that you used in one of your kanzashi's.

Lovely work.

Thanks!

They're beautiful!  I've never seen these before... If you don't mind me asking, about how long do they take you to make?

Thank you! Cheesy They take me around 30 mins - 1 hour depending on whether I get the petals right the first time, that's not including the time it takes to cut the fabric into little squares.

40  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: How perfect is "perfect"? on: October 30, 2009 05:50:26 AM
I tend to put a disclaimer up regarding imperfections as being part of anything handmade. Maybe something like this:

"Disclaimer: This item is handmade, so please be prepared for the slight imperfections that comes with being a handmade product."

Just as long as the buyer is aware that they aren't getting anything machined cut and 'perfect', I'm sure they will be okay with small imperfections.
