1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Tips for 52 reasons book? on: January 25, 2011 06:11:32 PM
I used different fonts with sizes 14-16. Pictures I tried to keep between 2.5-3 inches tall and 1.8-2.5 inches wide. To save paper, I typed up all my words on a couple pages, then all the pictures, which I adjusted the sizes of so  they'd fit. Then I cut everything out and glued it on.
As for the glue, I just used a regular Elmer's glue stick and computer paper. You don't want anything too heavy or sticky when working with computer paper. If you use cardstock or photo paper, I would recommend Photo glue.
Good luck!
If you want an example, you can look at the one I recently made: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=370171.0

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / 52 Reasons! (pic obese!) on: January 15, 2011 03:17:33 PM
I made my first ever 52 Reasons book for my boyfriend for Valentine's day! I'm not a very crafty person, although I always have creative ideas...so I am very proud of myself for doing this Smiley

This is the cover with Dave and I.
A little note on the inside
This one says you make me laugh and has cute little laughing monkeys.
your Devotion to God...both of us are strong Christians and I met him when he volunteered at the church I work at.
When I first met Dave (at the church) he had this creepy mustache that made me and my supervisor question if he should be working with children...when we started dating, he shaved it after our one month anniversary
You're not afraid to show your affection for me in public (this is my favorite picture btw)
Your devotion and love to your family. This is a picture of his brother with ironically a deck of cards
You don't kill people in real life. (He's addicted to Call of Duty)
4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: too small to use colored pencils on: April 06, 2010 08:19:31 PM
You could hot glue a whole bunch of them together and make a small coaster or heat protector for hot pots and stuff.

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: Wicked Party (broadway <3) on: January 06, 2007 05:06:57 AM
A few years ago, I had a wizard of Oz themed party...we had a horse of a different color (one of those little rocking horses for kids that you can get for like $20 that we made a raninbow blanket for), as you said, we had the yellow brick road leading to the house (we used sidewalk chalk, it took SO long!), right above my door we had a GINORMOUS rainbow pinata. and I had the guests all dress up as characters. I of course, was Dorothy. If your party is more Wicked themed, you could be Glinda or Elphaba. Glinda would be my first choice though lol. Food, just use any snacky foods in cool Oz inspired dishes and bowls. I found some Wizard of Oz plates at a dollar store! so...good luck!
