41  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Rubber stamp organizer on: April 07, 2008 08:05:58 AM
I'm not sure if this is the right board to put it on, but I built an organizer for my rubber stamps and other nonsense.

42  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Inchies on: March 07, 2008 08:25:13 AM
Here are some inchies I made for a green inchie swap on another site...
Each one has a wee tiny button on it.

43  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / "Art is Life" party hat on: January 15, 2008 07:49:32 PM
This started as a lowly paper "Dora" party hat.

Sheet music, chipboard letters, glitter, garland, rhinestones and pompoms...and now Art is Life!

In order to participate in this swap, you MUST procure this type of 5" by 7" journal: http://www.dickblick.com/zz118/12/. It doesn't matter where you get it, but it must be this brand and size. Its item number is LNW102, and its ISBN is 0-7376-1534-6. (These numbers are off the black journal; the colored books may have slightly different numbers.) We will be gently opening up the spiral-type bindings of these books and sending a decorated page only to our partners. It is essential everyone have the same type of book so they can rebind their book at home. The theme for the pages will be "letters and numbers", but this is a very open theme. For examples of pages done in this theme in the past, you may want to look at the last US Journal swap gallery here... https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=197680.0

Our long discussion about this swap can be found here.

Still with us? Then sign up already!   Cheesy
Swap name: Tip in with a twist
Craftster members who are organizing this swap: rackycoo and amaryllisroze
Sign-up date range: CLOSED
Date to send item by: Various deadlines for pages, first deadline: November 7, NEXT DEADLINE: November 21

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): 24

Restricted to people who all live in the same country? NO, and participants must be willing to send outside their own country.

All ages allowed? Or 18+?  18+

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES

Details of swap:
Everyone will decorate the outside of their journal in any way they like, and post pics in our gallery. After the covers are done, you will be assigned a partner and you will send each other one decorated page from your book. The page should be decorated both front and back. You can either have them match, coordinate, or be totally different from each other. The back should have some artist info on it, such as your signature, your username, location and the date. There will be multiple rounds, so everyone will have a chance to swap with all participants. Officially, there will be 2 weeks between sends, but if you are a habitual early sender and someone else is "available" to swap with, you may choose to get assigned another partner sooner. You may elect to wait until the next official pairing, though. DCs will not be required, but please plan on resending if your page gets lost in the mail.

The link to Dick Blick is one place you can get the book, but I'm sure there are more sources. You may want to check around the web, or look in at your local art store. If you can't find one, you may want to pm someone you know and trust who's participating, and ask them about a private swap. Make sure you trust them, because there can be no angels for the private swaps for the journal that don't work out.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them here! I'm not going to pretend that this can't be a bit confusing.   Grin

Also, you MUST post in this thread if you are joining. It will be our main means of communication. Happy tip-in swapping!

If you want to participate, information to send to rackycoo and amaryllisroze:

Name of swap: Tip in with a twist
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address including the country
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country? Yes, as this is required.

*Please do not apply if you have a habit of being late without communication in swaps, as we will most likely be disinclined to allow you to join.*

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

If your name is red, you have your book at home.  If you have a smiley, you have posted your cover. If your name is struck through, you should have feedback.

45  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / And still another altered canvas on: September 16, 2007 05:16:42 PM
This one is 8x8. It's made of paper, Dresden trim, rhinestones, ink and a repro vintage postcard.

46  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Masquerade Altered Canvas on: September 13, 2007 04:14:38 AM
This is an 8x8 canvas board with crepe paper around the edge. It almost seems like its missing something but I don't know what. Then again, I think I usually feel that way about the stuff I make.  Undecided

47  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Halloween Canvas on: September 01, 2007 09:50:19 PM
This is another 5x7 canvas board. I can't decide if its done yet, though. I might add a ribbon or wire to hang it from.

48  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Altered (?) Canvasses on: September 01, 2007 08:41:31 AM
These were all based on ATCs I've made. They're some of my favorites so I decided to recreate them on 5x7 canvasses.

49  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / "By blood a king" on: August 19, 2007 10:46:47 AM
Here are my cards. The quote is "By blood a king, in heart a clown" by Tennyson.

I think I got my mojo back.  Cheesy
