21  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Brownie ornament on: December 14, 2010 06:26:59 PM
I repurposed a little mint tin and made it into an ornament for our tree.

I love the little brownies. They remind me of sea monkeys. I'm not sure if the inside is done yet. I might add some text to the left panel.

22  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Steampunk Frame on: December 06, 2010 04:01:54 AM
One the steampunk thing, this is a frame I put together. It started as a cheapo (by cheapo I mean $1) wood frame from Michaels.
Again with the acrylic paint and the dimensional paint for the seams/soldering/rivets. The roses make from G45 paper. I really love how they turned out.
Its the first time I've tried anything like those before.

23  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Steampunk Advent Calendar on: December 05, 2010 08:54:01 AM
This is probably the most labor intensive thing I've done...It started as a brown paper mache base I picked up at Hobby Lobby, some G45 paper and a ton of metal bits and bobs. The overall size is around 12 by 12-ish and the little drawers are about 2 by 2.

side shot...I painted it with some dimensional paint to look like soldered seams & rivets.
24  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Slide mailer on: October 26, 2010 06:42:25 AM
This a slide mailer that I covered in gold leaf and other images. I love how the leafing came out.

25  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Heart canvas on: July 06, 2010 06:18:38 PM
Instead of crafting the things I'm supposed to be crafting, I made this.
I used a tutorial that Tim Holtz has on his blog.

(its about the same size as an ATC)
26  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Exhibition of ATCs by high school students on: June 25, 2010 10:58:14 AM
I just ran across this and want to share it. You don't see something like this in St. Louis very often. I"m going to check it out this weekend.

27  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Steampunk ATCs on: May 09, 2010 03:26:53 PM
I made this set for a swap on AlphaStamps Yahoo Group.
Not the steampunkiest things, but I like them.

28  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Kind of a chunky house.... on: March 29, 2010 04:20:36 AM
For a co-worker's birthday. Its basically a chunky house mounted on canvas. I first covered the canvas with pieces of paper printed with definitions.

29  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Heart canvas on: March 17, 2010 08:32:02 PM
I can't get a decent picture of this no matter what I try.  Roll Eyes

It started out as a regular artist canvas. I cut a hole in the canvas and mounted a papier mache box on the the back of the canvas to create a niche. Then I covered it all with molding paste, a texture paste and several washes of paint. The heart is made of celluclay and painted.

The metal corners are by Tim Holtz, nailed on and beaten up with a hammer.

(If you click on the pictures it will take you to my Flickr page and you can see more detailed shots there. They show the texture a little better.)
30  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Back in the ATC game (updated 2/28) on: February 23, 2010 07:45:47 AM
These are the first cards I've made in ages. The first set went to Racky and the second to Stiffly, both for a swap.
