21  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Wax Paper Envelope and Bday Card *tutorial* on: May 16, 2005 01:18:47 AM
Well my boy's bday is coming up and he's all the way in NY so I decided to make him a bday card and a wax paper envelope to go in his little surprise package. here is a tutorial for the envelope.

First! Gather up your supplies that you plan to use. In this case it was a piece of wax paper, and old card envelope, a marker (not shown), scissors and a glue pen.

Second! Un Fold the envelope and place it on top of the wax paper!

Third!! Take your marker and trace very carefully around the old envelope onto the wax paper.

Fourth!! Cut along the lines so that you have the shape of the old envelope. If you use a sharpie be careful cutting so that you don't have marker lines on your soon to be envelope.

Fifth!!  Fold it up. Then Glue the bottom and sides together. Make sure that the bottom piece is glued on top of the side pieces.

OK So I kinda got a job at JoAnns and I kinda told the lady I can look at a pattern and tell how many yards of fabric it is going to take just by looking at the back. Can someone please tell me how to do this so when I start I don't get caught in a little lie???

THANK YOU!
