11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: City/Area Swap; Extension: October 24th on: October 21, 2005 10:47:42 AM
I got my package from christinaent!  It was a huge box, and I love love love everything in it!

THANKS VERY VERY MUCH, christinaent, and props to humblestumble for organizing this fun swap!

You're very welcome!

Thanks for blanking out the name of that band, not that they would ever look on Craftster, but then you never know right? Glad the shirt fit, I was having a very hard time choosing a size! That hair wax is "magnetic"! Haha, I don't really know what that means but let me know if it does anything for you. It's from my favorite salon in New Brunswick, so hopefully it's good! Good thing you like social justice documentaries, or else that video might have been mighty boring for you  Grin Oh, and the biggest thing is that i'm very happy you like the necklace! I loved it but I wasn't really sure if it was your style or not. Phew!

The State Theatre does attract some really big names, people come from all over NJ to see our shows (one woman is coming from Kansas to see Glen Burtnik!)

Glad you liked everything! And thanks to humblestumble for being such a great organizer!

Now that I've seen Dawn of the Dead, the knitted version (view it here), I'd be interested!

I'm glad you liked it!  What a relief - I was worried.  I wanted to send stuff from my neighbourhood specifically (which is one of Toronto's suburban Chinatowns) instead of the usual touristy stuff so I wasn't sure how well it would go over.  Of course, your pictures make the stuff look even nicer!

THANKS, humblestumble, for updating my profile. I have a swap history now - woo-hoo!

Oh pshh there was no need to be worried! Your stuff was so much cooler than the typical tourist stuff, and I loved how there was a story behind each one.. it really made your neighborhood come alive in my mind. There aren't any souvenirs in my town, since we are not a touristy place at all so I've had to be a bit creative with what I pick out .. hope you will still be pleased. Undecided I'll probably (hopefully?) have everything together by this weekend.

Thanks again!

I got my package from the post office this morning was so excited when I opened it! Everything is so awesome! Eva (ax174) is from Agincourt, which is a suburban Chinatown in Canada and she sent me some really cool things from around her neighborhood! I love the stickers and the wallet, and the doll brooch is so unique - I've never seen anything like it before! Sadly, most of the candies are gone already  Embarrassed but they sure were yummy! Thanks, Eva! I hope you like my package as much as I like yours!
Here are the pics of the wonderful stuff I received:

In the box:

Roast Pork Seasoning Spice packet:

Candies and handmade fortune cookie pin cushion!

Awesome Sanrio Deery Lou wallet:

Gomu Gomu Stickers
