I got my package from the post office this morning was so excited when I opened it! Everything is so awesome! Eva (ax174) is from Agincourt, which is a suburban Chinatown in Canada and she sent me some really cool things from around her neighborhood! I love the stickers and the wallet, and the doll brooch is so unique - I've never seen anything like it before! Sadly, most of the candies are gone already  Embarrassed but they sure were yummy! Thanks, Eva! I hope you like my package as much as I like yours!
Here are the pics of the wonderful stuff I received:

In the box:

Roast Pork Seasoning Spice packet:

Candies and handmade fortune cookie pin cushion!

Awesome Sanrio Deery Lou wallet:

Gomu Gomu Stickers

Washi doll brooch:

Everything together!

3  Wood Bead Necklace w/ nail polish in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by christinaent on: September 20, 2005 08:44:00 PM
Made this with some wood beads, thought it was too plain so I accented the colors with some nail polish.

4  Destroyed Jeans with Stencil in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by christinaent on: September 20, 2005 08:40:29 PM
So I dug this pair of jeans out that I destoyed about a year ago. And wouldn't you know it that these are hot fashion now!! This was one of my first stencils, so it's a bit messy. Don't bite me.  Undecided It's a Banksy recreation, burgundy on top of gold. Added the little heart for balance, I think it's cute.

Comments? Suggestions on how it could be better? Let me know.

5  Button Skirt retro style! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by christinaent on: September 20, 2005 08:30:33 PM
I think I have a button obsession! Oh well, here is my mom's old skirt from the 80s that I embellished with some buttons. It's almost too loud to wear in public but I have no shame so I'll wear it anyway  Tongue

close up:

my favorite button is the red one:

Comments? Suggestions on how to make it better?

6  Destroyed Jeans with buttons a la Delia's in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by christinaent on: September 18, 2005 08:44:08 PM
You charge how much for a pair of old raggedy ripped up jeans?!?! I don't think so.

So I made my own. Inspired by this pair I saw in a Delia's catalog:

My version:

I happen to prefer my version, actually.  Tongue

I added a few more beads after these pics were taken and ended up taking that metal chain off (it was making noises when I walked, plus I thought it was a bit overkill) but I'm too lazy to retake the pics. You get the picture, right?

7  Inspired by killer hobo scarf in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by christinaent on: September 18, 2005 08:32:21 PM
I was inspired by this wonderful thread, one of the greatest scarves I have ever seen!

I made mine out of a blazer instead of pants. My attempts at learning how to knit have failed miserably, so I just knotted all the pieces together. I plan on embellishing it with some awesome gray and silver beads when i get the chance.

8  Re: CD Necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by christinaent on: September 15, 2005 05:04:58 PM
Okie, so I baked my CD and it came out pretty cool. So onto making the actual necklace. This part involves drilling and finding wire and all that stuff that this crafster is waaay too lazy for. So I used an old necklace I was about to throw out.

Old Necklace:

Metal Piece:

Final Product:

I especially like it because the pieces are quite a bit larger than in the original, and I tend to like more chunky stuff. If I could do it again, I'd probably round out the corners more.

Thanks Inna for this wonderful idea and tutorial!!

9  Embroidered/fabric sample appliqued Vintage Blazer in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by christinaent on: September 14, 2005 06:03:07 PM
My boyfriend bought me this vintage blazer at a thrift store, and it fits great but was a little plain. Enter some of those wonderful fabric samples I got online!! This was my first embroidering venture and I think it turned out all right. I love these colors and textures for fall. The blue birds are suede. Still working on the back..

Let me know what you guys think! Smiley

10  Arrested Development stencil in Stenciling: Completed Projects by christinaent on: September 09, 2005 04:53:20 PM
So I thought I'd immortalize one of my favorite moments from one of my favorite shows.
big old shirt

and then reconstructed:

on me:

I made this a million times harder than it had to be by painting the white after i had already done the stencil. i messed something up and that was the only way to fix it. oh well.
