11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / need help with a skirt--first timer! on: July 28, 2006 09:05:15 PM
ok, ive never made clothes before in my life! i saw a skirt like this in rave girl...(pre-apologising for lack of ms paint skill)

ANYWAY i cant seem to find a pattern (or name for that matter) for that kind of skirt. its the regular elasticy-type stretch material on top for the waist band, then the fabric looks kinda like strips, but its all one piece of fabric... its kinda pleated, but not ironed down so its like flat, more flowy.

im so sorry i cant describe it, but im not a skirt person, and really want this one!
12  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / paper ink stain on furnature- how to remove?: REMOVED! yay! on: July 22, 2006 07:04:10 PM
ok, right next to my keyboard i put my drink, but it started sweating all over my desk, so i put an origami box i had made forever ago under it (couldnt find a coster). it got all wet and left its ink color and now i have a hot pink square stain on my 400 dollar desk, and its about 3x3 inches. its really noticible, and they will freak when they see it!

how can i get it off?!? Cry
13  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Selling on Etsy without Paypal? on: July 12, 2006 01:26:00 PM
would you not buy something if paypal is not available? i would only be using check or money order, because im 15 and cant use paypal....im worried that i would not make many sales if there were only those 2 choices Cry
14  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / [SOLVED] Keeping NSFW posts out of Hot new topics on: July 10, 2006 11:22:08 AM
Ive seen alot of topics that are 18+/mature/strong language with pictures, and sadly, if you look at the recent posts with pictures there is no warning of up-comming mature/language content. i was wondering if there would be any way at all of having a check box that if the content was mature, you would check it and the picture wouldn't show up in the recent posts with pictures section or the whole topic wouldn't show up in the recent posts with pictures. i know there are many younger crafters who use this site, and i didnt think some of these things are appropriate for them.

perhaps the topic would be able to be seen along with the text, but the picture would be a heart or star so you know pictures are available, but young crafters wouldnt get the shock of a lifetime.

just my 2 cents, but please consider it!

edit: does no one think this is a good idea? i searched the topic "mature" and got 6 pages of results...at about 30 per page thats 180 topics, which isnt much but its enough to have its own board!
15  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / neopets guild layout--help a fellow craftster out? on: July 03, 2006 10:38:46 PM
ok i wrote this post perfectly, but when i submitted it it turned into matinance mode, so this is try #2. i have a cratster guild on neopets. i hav been ofered a layout 4 times already, and the other person fell through each time. i was wondering if someone had some sparetime to make a crafster layout for my neopets guild the guild is here : http://www.neopets.com/guilds/guild.phtml?id=2088711

there are 22 members sp far, and it is growing. i made an idea for the laout here : its really somple html, but im really simple minded lol.

to "pay" you for the layout i would be happy to put your etsy sn in our guild messages, and in my craftster siggy line as an ad, because i post alot in many different forums.

please consider this! i would be so grateful!!!

edit: i just looked at the pic and its soooo small. there is a water faerie pencil about it the word updates, a fire faerie pen above reading giveaway and a dark faerie pencil above reading games instead of my avvie, other wise it would be like your reading a post. the little skinny lines on the sides are scroll bars.

18  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / crafty misconceptions on: April 13, 2006 06:24:52 PM
We have all done it before- attempted a craft without reading the directions fully or just wing it. Maybe you have misused a tool while trying to craft. Possibly made a stupid mistake that ruined your entire project. Post them here!

felting-uses wool to create a masterpiece or cover a ball of some sort

my felting- get felt, rip it up, put in warm water around a ball whie inside a stocking and cut off stocking when dry. yea, didnt exactly read HOW to felt, just saw what it looked like and guessed. stupid of me, but shouldnt it be called wooling?
