1  Quilled bonsai tree ( Big IMG) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by slb2724 on: February 25, 2007 03:25:32 PM
This is my first "real" post on craftster, so I'm not exactly sure if this is where it goes. This is a bonsai tree i did a few months ago with inspiration from a googled image. Hope you like it! Sorry about the big picture! When i make it small it looks terrible!

they are the coolest things....i wouldnt want to move in fear of smushing them! there is so much detail!

terribly sorry if this isn't the right place.... please feel free to move or delete this topic if needed.

Confidence is a virtue. Smiley

I was going to look at your tiles, but Etsy is having a cow at the moment, so I'll have to try again later.

they pretty much look the same-ish

I just realize its taken forever to get these suckers up. So here you go, my (poorly glazed) cupcakes!

this is the big normal size one. i know the glaze is wierd.....i used what i had Cheesy

this is a mini one i made with extra clay i had. you can clearly see i have no life.....plus the blue glaze was runny....

8  temporary tattoos from construction paper!! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by slb2724 on: July 30, 2006 04:41:24 PM
my gnome named larry, of course!

the brand paper i used

being stupid and all, i accedentally found that some black construction paper can act as henna but its a little darker in color than actual henna...all you do is cut it out in the shape you want, put it on your skin where you want it, and place a wet (not to dry to the point that theres no water left, but not dripping) paper towel and place it on the construction paper. leave it there for about 2-3 mins and peel it off...so far mine has lasted about a week, though it has faded slightly due to washing.

-comes off with nail polish remover/rubbing alcohol
-dont move it while its sitting! will caouse shadow effect
WARNING: will stain reg towels/clothes so be careful, use papertowels/napkins

please post pics if you tried this!

10  need help with a skirt--first timer! in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by slb2724 on: July 28, 2006 09:05:15 PM
ok, ive never made clothes before in my life! i saw a skirt like this in rave girl...(pre-apologising for lack of ms paint skill)

ANYWAY i cant seem to find a pattern (or name for that matter) for that kind of skirt. its the regular elasticy-type stretch material on top for the waist band, then the fabric looks kinda like strips, but its all one piece of fabric... its kinda pleated, but not ironed down so its like flat, more flowy.

im so sorry i cant describe it, but im not a skirt person, and really want this one!
