1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / High collared Winter Jacket on: February 11, 2010 03:03:15 PM
I'm way too happy about this coat, I made a lot of mistakes but it's one of the better things I have made.
I didn't take a picture of it but it has this wonderful silver Kasha Lining in it.
It's made from Simplicity 2508, great pattern!

I'm sorry for the picture of the back, I didn't notice it was lopsided on the dress form.
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Best way to get a complex pattern on fabric on: February 02, 2009 01:24:51 PM
Ok so I am making this costume and I want to get the pattern that is on the sleeves and socks but I have no idea what the best method is. I'm really new at putting images on fabric so forgive me if there is an obvious answer.

ANY advice would be appreciated!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Kana inspired blazer on: January 02, 2008 11:39:44 PM
I actually did this a year ago and just found it in my pile of fabric.
Basically I got inspired one night to redo the plain black blazer with the bunny from the jacket Kana made for the Gothic Lolita Bible. It's definitely not as flashy or cool as Kana's.

My very watered down version
(Sorry for the not so great photos)

It does look a bit better in person. I just want to add some more things but I'm kind of afraid to.
Things such as some lace or more plaid somewhere, possible some ruffled cuffs.. though maybe I should just leave it alone.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Pink & tan plaid coat on: January 04, 2007 07:53:45 PM
I found this adorable fabric at a big sale they had so I had to get it. Unfortunatly it doesn't look as good in the pictures.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Fur + coat thing = fun on: December 04, 2006 09:53:41 PM
Because I'm a tard I forgot to take a before picture so allow me to explain what I did to this random brown sweater coat,
I tightened the sleeves so they now have shape
I took off these wierd patches on the the side that have no purpose and made your hips look bulky
I gave it actual shape!
Added fur
And took off this wierd stuff that was around the collar,

And then I got this,
I plan to add a zipper or something to assist the buckles and to make the sleeves abit smaller length wise.
6  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Putting white lines on pvc jacket for cosplay on: July 30, 2006 10:37:17 AM
I'm doing a cosplay and on the jacket there are white lines and I can't figure out how to get them on my jacket without making it look crappy.
If it matters the tag says the jacket is 50% PVC, 40% Poliester & 10% poliuretano.

The design of the jacket looks like this,

I'm afraid if I try to sew the lines on it will look too tacky, and if I paint lines on.. well it'll look painted.
Any ideas?
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / White layered skirt with black roses on: June 19, 2006 05:40:34 PM
I bought a plain white skirt at winners that had two layers of fabric attached at the bottom so it kind of puffed out. I didn't like it so I took it apart, added another layer, gathered fabric, added some lace to cover up a really ugly seam and added a row of black roses across.
Though its really hard to see that they are black roses, but I swear they are!

Please ignore the clutter behind me, my poor room is overdue for a cleaning..
8  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Singer 150 dressform troubles on: June 10, 2006 07:01:51 PM
today I bought my first dress form and because I'm oh so excited about it I had to set it up! Well I ran into a problem maybe some of you can help me with,

The adjustment on the inside of the body refuses to move. The 'claws' won't come out of the very inside bar which doesn't allow me to make the body smaller. Which I really need ><
9  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Help finding cosplay pattern on: June 01, 2006 08:06:08 AM
I've tried looking at a bunch of pattern sites but I can find nothing that slightly resembles this jacket,

I know I'd most likely have to do modifcations to it because no pattern would be exactly like this. If anyone knows of a pattern that can work for the jacket please tell me!

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Lace trimmed Skirt on: April 02, 2006 04:13:13 PM
This is my first skirt I ever made and I probably should have started out with something easier.

Well I took apart this really long black skirt that I had some how managed to get in my possesion. It was one that goes up past your belly button.
And I made it into this,

They aren't the best pictures I know, I tried to get some better ones but my camera just died.
Thanks for looking.
