2  High collared Winter Jacket in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Apostice on: February 11, 2010 03:03:15 PM
I'm way too happy about this coat, I made a lot of mistakes but it's one of the better things I have made.
I didn't take a picture of it but it has this wonderful silver Kasha Lining in it.
It's made from Simplicity 2508, great pattern!

I'm sorry for the picture of the back, I didn't notice it was lopsided on the dress form.

3  Re: Stuffie/Plushie swap gallery of goodness in The Swap Gallery by Apostice on: August 25, 2009 01:19:19 AM
So from Feverdream I got spoiled with a zomie doll AND her little pet bunny!!!
What's more amazing is the details she put into it, she truely outdid herself!

Apologies for the bad lighting & photos

Check out the stockings and undergarments she painted on!

4  Re: Luck O the Irish Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Apostice on: March 21, 2009 09:04:10 PM
So I recieved from the1irishgirl and it blew my mind. All the things she sent me were so fantastic, creative, and well done.
My first swap ever and I must say it was a lot harder than I expected.

On to the pictures!

They are all wonderfully quilted! Note the flag color scheme!

I love this one, the question is where to hang it so it doesn't get broken.

These cards were such a creative idea! I don't want to give them to anyone!

And everything all together including a shamrock necklace & rings  Smiley

5  Best way to get a complex pattern on fabric in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions by Apostice on: February 02, 2009 01:24:51 PM
Ok so I am making this costume and I want to get the pattern that is on the sleeves and socks but I have no idea what the best method is. I'm really new at putting images on fabric so forgive me if there is an obvious answer.

ANY advice would be appreciated!

7  Kana inspired blazer in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Apostice on: January 02, 2008 11:39:44 PM
I actually did this a year ago and just found it in my pile of fabric.
Basically I got inspired one night to redo the plain black blazer with the bunny from the jacket Kana made for the Gothic Lolita Bible. It's definitely not as flashy or cool as Kana's.

My very watered down version
(Sorry for the not so great photos)

It does look a bit better in person. I just want to add some more things but I'm kind of afraid to.
Things such as some lace or more plaid somewhere, possible some ruffled cuffs.. though maybe I should just leave it alone.

8  Re: 2007 Costume Sewalong (All Costumes) in Clothing Sewalongs by Apostice on: October 03, 2007 10:52:18 AM
I'm doing the nurse outfit. I thought it would be funny considering I am a nursing student. The issue will be wearing the wig and outfit to school, and whether or not I will freeze 0_o

9  Putting white lines on pvc jacket for cosplay in Costumes: Discussion and Questions by Apostice on: July 30, 2006 10:37:17 AM
I'm doing a cosplay and on the jacket there are white lines and I can't figure out how to get them on my jacket without making it look crappy.
If it matters the tag says the jacket is 50% PVC, 40% Poliester & 10% poliuretano.

The design of the jacket looks like this,

I'm afraid if I try to sew the lines on it will look too tacky, and if I paint lines on.. well it'll look painted.
Any ideas?

10  Help finding cosplay pattern in Costumes: Discussion and Questions by Apostice on: June 01, 2006 08:06:08 AM
I've tried looking at a bunch of pattern sites but I can find nothing that slightly resembles this jacket,

I know I'd most likely have to do modifcations to it because no pattern would be exactly like this. If anyone knows of a pattern that can work for the jacket please tell me!
