2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help for clueless newbie!!! on: September 01, 2006 10:28:19 AM
I really want to make this hat for my husband,
and I really like how there is no seam that you have to stitch up (I'm a crocheter, and I'm used to one continuous thing), but I'm clueless on what kinda of needles to use for this.  I've heard about the circular needles, and I bought a pair, but it was like 29", and i think that was too long of a size.  So, I took em back, and was just totally baffled by all the different stuff at the store...I've read about Double Pointed Needles as well, and don't know about that either.  Please help me with this...I want to start soon!

yeah...it did turn out cute...but turns out it was way too small on her...like, I couldn't even get it over her head.  I felt so bad.  But I have a little bit of material left, so I'm sure I could make a new one.  I felt bad...boo hoo!!

this is based loosely off of this link...

anyway, it's a little turquoise/brown polka dot dress I made for my niece's birthday party today...

I'm sure it could be adapted to fit adult sizes...just make a bigger rectangle to start with....

Let me know what you think...
