51  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Seven Simple Shrink Plastic Pendants! on: May 04, 2008 06:34:01 PM
I've been having a blast getting reacquainted with Shrinky Dinks (i.e. polystyrene sheets)!

It may not be apparent from the pictures, but the octopus and tree pendants have a bunch of micro-bubbles in the clear bits!  I'm loving that effect, and I think I will try to make more pendants like that Smiley

56  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Needlebook swap? on: October 11, 2007 11:21:56 AM
Anyone up for a quick and easy swap?  I love working on small sewing projects (read: short attention span Roll Eyes).
57  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Mini Felt Hair Clippies For My Niece... on: July 25, 2007 07:22:45 AM
These hair clippies are a smidge longer than one inch Smiley  My sis requested felt covered clippies because they seem to have a better grip than the regular metal clippies.  I had a blast making these, and there are more in the works (monkey, cherry, panda, skully, butterfly, and other flowers)!

58  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Girly Taggie Blankie... on: July 19, 2007 05:52:10 AM
My sister requested a taggie blankie for my favourite niece (note: I only have one niece Grin).  I used Minky Dot chenille fabric for one side, and one of Heather Bailey's Freshcut fabrics for the other side.  It was fun to select the ribbons and trims for the taggie blankie, but I think the lady at the fabric cutting counter was rather annoyed about having to cut 24 eight-inch pieces of ribbons/trims for me Tongue

The girly floral side!

The plush bumpy side!

Check out the giant rick rack trim (it had a width of an inch or so)!!!
59  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Cupcakes For My Niece... on: April 23, 2007 11:12:22 AM
Inspired by all the wonderful felt foods I've seen on Craftster, I made a couple of felt cupcakes for my niece this weekend:

Next, I'll probably make an attempt on pies and cookies Cheesy
60  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Thrifty Thursday Find - Polypropylene Yarn!!! on: July 06, 2006 07:03:26 PM
I found several skeins of polypropylene yarn at the thrift store.  Obviously, this was an impulse buy since I haven't a clue about what it's good for Roll Eyes  Has anyone ever used this type of yarn in a project?  I would love to hear suggestions on what I can do with this yarn!  Thanks!!

Here's a picture of the yarn in question:
