Here's the typical story when I hit the fabric stores.  I buy what's on sale...because it's on sale.  Then I see something that's NOT on sale...but love, love, love it...so I buy it anyway.  Guess what?  It goes on sale the next couple of days.  What's a girl to do?  Yep, you guessed it.  Head back to the store and buy more fabric because it's now on sale Tongue  It's a vicious cycle, I tell ya!!!

qazicat, I guess I'm in good company then Wink  Fortunately, there isn't a 'minimum purchase requirement' at the local fabric store.  In some instances, I've puchased as little as 1/8th of a yard for my projects!  I just received a flyer in the mail about a fabric sale this weekend.  No prizes will be awarded for accurate guesses on how I intend to spend my tax-refund Tongue

Sounds good to me.  I am definitely up for a round 2.

I didn't do much stash busting either.  I only used 4 fat quarters from my own stash.  The rest I bought.  Some of the fabrics were on sale and the minimum purchase was 1 metre.  In the end I will have 29 fat quarters worth of fabric added to my stash.

mmmm lots of pretty fabric.  It's all good.

I loved your idea about using corduroy for baby blankets (yes, I did remember you telling me about that when you sent me a pm), hence the selection of fun corduroy fabrics Smiley  BTW, I have the exact same stash as what I sent to you (since I bought 1/2 yard pieces and split it in half to make fat quarters).  I don't have a clue about what I'll make with them either!  For now, I'm content to stare at the pretty colors and designs Tongue

Goodgrief.  When I decided to go for this swap, I thought I was gonna do some stash-busting.  Okay, I was definitely lying to myself  Roll Eyes  At the end of this swap, I will have acquired 4.5 yards of new fabric (from my wonderful partners!) and another 4.5 yards of fabrics leftover from what I sent out to my partners.  That's 9 yards!  It's all good though Grin

Round 2 of this swap sounds like an awesome idea, and there seems to be quite a few of us that would be keen to do this again!  I'm thinking about starting the signups during the 3rd week of March (mostly because I want to make sure that everyone in the current swap has received their fabrics).  How does that sound?

Ezri_B, I hope you'll have fun with your new stash Grin  I can't figure why I've never noticed all the cool corduroy fabrics at the store!  Perhaps it's due to the fact that I always head for the quilting section and spend all my money there  Roll Eyes

The mittens are lovely!  I think the color combination of sage and pink is just perfect!

Well, I'm jealous Wink  I need a 'Floyd' in my life too!!!  Seriously, I can totally understand why you're dragging him around the house.  I would too, if he was mine Cheesy

There was a package of fat quarters waiting for me in my mailbox this evening...and they're from Yirq!!!  She sent me a bunch of lovely cotton fabrics and she did a terrific job selecting them, based on my answers to the swap questionnaire Smiley  Okay, here's a group shot of the fat quarters:

Hmmm...did you count them?  Yep, she sent me 7 fat quarters Wink  It's impossible to pick a favourite, but I'd like to mention that I've already got plans for the butterfly fabric.  I'm making my grandmama a black microfiber tote for her bible and I'm gonna use that wonderful butterfly fabric to line it!  I think she'll love it.  Yirq, thanks for feeding my fabric addiction!
