7202  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Ongoing Fabric Fat Quarter Swap? on: March 23, 2006 01:01:40 PM
I love fabric...and I'm pretty sure that there are others who share my addiction (I'm not naming any names here...Wink)!!

Anyhow, I wanted to find out if there is sufficient interest to do an ongoing type fabric swap, based loosely on the swap style used in "Ongoing Things I Can Make" swaps.

Here's what I was thinking.  The first person showcases 10 different fat quarters that they're willing to sacrifice trade.  When the second person claims a fat quarter from the first person, she would then have to showcase 10 fat quarters for another member to choose.  It wouldn't cost very much to pop the fat quarter in an envelope and ship it off to someone.  It might be a little more for international shipments, but if the fabric isn't too heavy, the cost should stay pretty reasonable.  If there is a lag, the last person who chose needs to add to what they are offering for shipment.  Rules such as "All particpants must be willing to make international shipments" and limitations on what types of fabrics may be listed would obviously have to be discussed if such a swap was organized.

Your thoughts??

You're welcome, PinkMafia Grin

As of EST 11pm, everyone should have received their partner's swap info Smiley  You might wanna cross check the info you've received with the list of partners in the first post of this swap thread to make sure that I didn't muck up and send you the wrong info Wink

FYI, I will be going out of town on Friday and will have limited access to Craftster the internet Sad  Just thought I'd mention it in case you guys think I've bailed!

To my partners, A_Patchwork_Orange and bloomingkinder, I'll take my shopping lists (i.e. your swap questionnaires) with me and hit the local stores Grin

Happy Swapping!!!

*Edited for spelling mistakes...*

Ready to swap???  Partners have been assigned!!!  Based on your answers to the swap questionnaire, you will be swapping with either one OR two partners Wink  The list of partners have been posted (ref. 1st post of this swap thread).

The folks who know me and/or were in on the "A Dozen of Fat Quarters To Go!" Swap already know that I have a tendency to nag  Roll Eyes  So here it goes...

REMINDERS:

1.  Please make some sort of contact with your partner(s) when you receive their swap info!  Just a quick hello would be nice....or perhaps you might have more questions for your swap partner(s).  If you have questions for me, feel free to send me a pm!

2.  This swap should go pretty quickly since no actual crafting (other than making sure your fabric selections will please your partner(s)!) is involved.  The deadline is set for Monday - April 3, 2006!!  This means that you will have two weekends to do your shopping!!  Please send your packages by this date.  If you cannot make this deadline for a valid reason, you need to contact your partner(s) and myself as soon as possible!

3.  If you're in the US and sending to a partner that resides in the US, you'll need to provide your partner and myself with a Delivery Confirmation Number!  There are no exceptions to this rule!  If you're not in the US or sending to a partner that is out of the US, please hang on to your receipts!

Okay, I'm done nagging Roll Eyes  I will be sending out the relevant swap info to everybody shortly Smiley

7210  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Design a Dream Wallet Swap Gallery on: March 22, 2006 08:23:17 AM

Thanks loves2experiment for organizing a great wallet swap. I know my swap answers must have worried you (being too vague and all) but you did a great job assigning me the right swap partner.

You're welcome, island-princess...and your swap questionnaire was fine just as it was!  I look forward to seeing more of your work Cheesy

By the way, I would have glady swapped with any one of you girls Wink
