6721  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Thrifty Thursday Find - Polypropylene Yarn!!! on: July 07, 2006 08:30:28 AM
ilovepaper, thanks for the heads up!! *makes mental actual note NOT to make socks with this yarn*

trisarahtop, were you thinking about a poncho or something of that nature?  That should be interesting since I should have enough yarn to do that Smiley
6722  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Fabric Swap III - the summer edition! on: July 07, 2006 08:26:41 AM
Okay...my 2 cents Wink  Perhaps I should put a note in the 1st gallery noting that there's a 2nd gallery, and vice versa.  I'll do that because there's no way to move the posts in the 2nd gallery to the first one unless I contact a mod Undecided  Melesse, you're more than welcome to have the folks post their projects in either gallery Smiley
6723  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Tiny Tea for Two! on: July 07, 2006 08:23:29 AM
Meghan, the tiny tea set is adorable Cheesy  Is the lid to the teapot removable?
6724  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Thrifty Thursday Find - Polypropylene Yarn!!! on: July 06, 2006 07:41:01 PM
cotneyroo: The yarn is far from huggable Tongue  The label on one of the skeins recommended using #10 needles.  I knitted a swatch and the texture reminds me of one of those artificial loofa mitts!  I might have to make wash cloths or maybe a case for a bar of soap.  Hmm.

jshires and trisarahtop, thanks for the suggestions!  I'll be sure to check out macrame and fly ties!!
6725  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Thrifty Thursday Find - Polypropylene Yarn!!! on: July 06, 2006 07:03:26 PM
I found several skeins of polypropylene yarn at the thrift store.  Obviously, this was an impulse buy since I haven't a clue about what it's good for Roll Eyes  Has anyone ever used this type of yarn in a project?  I would love to hear suggestions on what I can do with this yarn!  Thanks!!

Here's a picture of the yarn in question:
