231  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: GROMIT!! on: July 08, 2006 09:48:17 PM
i got the pattern from this website it didn't turn out exactly like the persons but it's good enough i guess.

Mine came out exactly like your so I think the designer crocheted alot tighter then we may have.

I made one as a surprise for my daughter on a long car trip. She LOVES Gromit so I think that I will get some Mommy points for it when she finds it in her bag.
232  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Gundam Wing Charts on: September 15, 2005 08:16:51 AM
Gundam fans are not dorks, their minds are just on a more elevated level than most people  Grin
thanks for the help I will probably have to use a duplicacte stich because the chart would be so complex but I'll have to give it a try. Probably will do up a simple square and put the design on that.

235  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: Toddler T-shirt Dress on: August 10, 2005 10:25:43 AM
Thanks everyone. I really like that purple dress so girlie. I was going to try and make a dress but the more I looked at it I realized that the picture on the shirt was up to high and no matter what I did I would lose part of it. Oh well  Undecided but not all was lost I clean out my closet and found an old plaid dress so I used that to make a dress for her. When I get my camera back I will post a picture. Thanks again for the suggestions. Smiley Smiley
236  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Toddler T-shirt Dress on: August 07, 2005 09:13:50 PM
I have an old care bear t-shirt that I think would make a great dress for my three year old daughter. I have looked at other posts but could not find anything regarding toddlers. The shirt is an adult small and does not have raglan sleeves. I could try making a halter but am nervous about just cutting away without some sort of idea on how to put it together. Any suggestion would be helpful. By the way I have been sewing on and off for ten years so I am familiar with terms and  techniques.
Thanks.  Smiley

Grin Great job. My brain went out the window when I was pregnant so creating my own clothing was out and boy did I need them, by eight months I had a 52" waist. Hips I'm not to sure about, my 60" tape measure would not fit all the way around  Shocked Shocked Again great job.
