21  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Getting Ripped on: May 25, 2009 10:57:43 AM
CarmenCrafter ~ Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!  I will be working on it more during the week, and maybe next weekend I'll have an updated photo to share on here. =)
22  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Felt Up Close on: May 15, 2009 11:05:00 AM
wyntersea - Thanks! Awesome advice! Do you know off-hand where I can find wool felt (other than recycled wool sweaters)?

Mobi Dick - Thanks! Can't wait to make more! Just got a new sewing machine, so they'll be a lil' bit quicker to sew up!
23  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Alice in Wonderland! on: May 14, 2009 05:28:03 PM
OhMyGoodness! I think I saw your daughter!
Was she playing musical chairs with Alice on May 5th?

LOVE the costume - LOVE the photos!

P.S. I'm an Annual Passholder who keeps an eye out for handcrafted costumes/clothes while at the Park. =)
24  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Dr Robotnik on: May 14, 2009 01:02:39 PM
I recognized him immediately from the thumbnail -- and I'm not even that familiar with him! The likeliness is spot on!
And Sonic is super cool too!

KayMkay ~ lol, thank you!!! There are a few people "claiming" this afghan. ;-)

Playswithneedles ~Thank you! I didn't see the "flowers" until it was mentioned here earlier - love it! =)

Ocean Promise ~ Thanks! The colors are becoming happier 'cos I'm adding more and more!  Grin
In fact, the color combination I'm working on right now remind me of the ocean!

So adorable! Fantastic first amigurumi project!

Glad to hear you realized what your mistakes were - and how to avoid 'em next time! I always get real excited when I figure out the "why" of the mistakes I make - in crochet and in life!  Grin

Every Little Thing ~ Awesome! Thank you! Funky is definitely what I was going for!

Superjodes ~ Thank you! The Happy Hooker book is a lot of fun! When it first came out, I played hostess to a "Happy Hooker Chain Gang Along." =)

I never noticed how the variegated yarn appears like flowers - but now I do! It's simply just variegated Red Heart Yarn. Smiley

dazeychick~ Thank you so much!!!

miettelove ~ I know, we reached almost 100 degrees here right on the coast a couple of weeks ago! So wrong.
I have radar for knitted/crocheted blankets on television shows too -- such as Mad Men! And I get very excited whenever I do see one! =D

It's going to be insane to work with all this acrylic yarn during the summer - but I'll appreciate it once it dips below 65 degrees again. ;-)

I love the fabric -- and the direction of the pattern! It shows off the print much better, I believe!
And I so wish I could go through your bookcase. =D
