1  Re: Friends of Craftster Raffle Swap R10 FOCR R10 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by hockamama on: October 28, 2011 07:26:15 PM
I received a couple of days ago, but I just now have the time to post pics.  Can I just say that I LOVE what I got?!  jillybeans sent me the cutest, most adorable tote bag!!

The lighting in my dining room is rubbish, so the pics aren't great, but the paint is so pretty and shiny.  This thing is so cute!!  And look at the little dangly she made for it!  Swoon....

the extras.  I've bought these little puzzle erasers for my niece, but I've never seen them in sewing paraphernalia!  And I heart buttons!!

jillybeans, I love this package, thank you so so SO much!!

2  Re: Friends of Craftster Raffle Swap R10 FOCR R10 (Signups CLOSED Sendout 10/25) in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by hockamama on: October 20, 2011 06:33:29 PM
Okay, here is the map pendant that I'm in the process of making:

As a veteran FOC raffle swapper, I know that the item has to be finished and ready to go before the swap gets underway, but I think I forgot that in my essay/test taking fog.  I was mindlessly thinking I'd get to it this weekend, but obviously that won't work.  I've got it put together, I just need some sunshine for the resin-y stuff to set.  Tomorrow is supposed to be nice and sunny, so when I get home from school I'll get it outside.

I chose Italy, because I'd love to visit there, and because I love the name Bologna  Smiley

TSM, is it okay that I'm offering an (as yet) unfinished item?

I want to play!  I've participated in almost all the rounds of this swap, and I can't stand the thought of not being in this one.  I'm having trouble coming up with an offering, though, with school and all it's time consuming-ness.

would one of these interest anyone?

It's not the best picture, sorry.  It's a map pendant.  I will make it with my partner in mind, so say, if I won a craftster in New York, I wouldn't send you one with Texas in it  Wink.  Anyway, if y'all like it enough, I'll send in my questionnaire and plan on making one of these this week!

4  Re: 2011 r3 mini 13 days of Halloween Gallery in The Swap Gallery by hockamama on: September 21, 2011 06:14:05 AM
Good grief, I'm such a slacker  Embarrassed

I received a great box of halloween goodies from ChristieAnn, and when my daughter came home for a visit, she opened it up for me (right, nosy thing).  Unfortunately, I didn't think to take pics of the wrapping, it was super cool.  ChristieAnn wrapped everything in black tissue and wrote the numbers in white paint.  Some of them were wrapped with the most awesome skeleton ribbon! She really spoiled me  Grin

I've been putting off transferring the pictures to the computer and then uploading them because it seems to take forever.  So, FINALLY, here they are:

Day 1 was a box of lovely chocolate that did not survive long enough to have it's picture made.  My 14 year old kept lurking around the corner, and every time I'd come back into the room there would be fewer pieces...

Day 2

Party goods!  Aren't they cute?  Smiley

Day 3

Swoon-worthy coasters.  I love these!!

Day 4

Cat wearing a mask in a candle.  She and I both have black cats, so alot of halloween stuff is a great fit Wink

Day 5

Scrabble tile picture.  This is probably my second fave, it's over my sink so I can look at it all the time.

Day 6 and 7

Gel drink charms and a cute little stuffed head

Day 8

Awesome Wizard of Oz witch magnets!  I heart these   Cheesy

Day 9

My favoritest item of all---the most awesome skull earrings.  I HEART these muchly  Grin Grin
Sorry the pic is so yucky, it's difficult to snap a picture of earrings in use on oneself, but I didn't want to take them off!

Day 10

Zombie Honeymoon.  The aforementioned 14 year old has made a date to watch it with me this weekend (if I can tear him away from Battlefield 3 long enough!!)

Day 11

Scrapbook supplies...look at all the pretty papers!  I love this too (I can tell it was a great swap by the amount of times I said I love it)

Day 12

The cutest punch and memo pad!

Day 13

The most gorgeous glass necklace!

And extras:

the little voodoo dolls are adorable and the ribbon was around some of the packages.

A cool craft book that is so craftster-ish  Wink

And here are some of the things I sent to her:

I replaced the label with a vinyl fence and some ghosts

I found this in a superman blue color, took it apart and halloween-ed it.  I sent candy corn to go in it.

A countdown

reversible letters

the other side

Sidney the sock skeleton

Jack hoop

embroidered wicked

rag wreath

Sorry I'm late, but here are my interpretations of a couple of the photo challenges

this is something that 'starts with c'...Dee helping my friend Penny cheat at Rumikub  Cheesy

And something crafty...Dee hiding amongst some of the jams we put up.  Her favorite seems to be the Peach Chardonay  Grin

Hmm, we seem to have a wine theme going on at our casa....

6  Brown and Blue Shower with Dessert Buffet **pic obese** in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by hockamama on: July 26, 2011 06:55:39 AM
I threw a shower for my minister/surrogate daughter in May.  Cameron Wesley finally made his appearance on July 12, a full week after he was due to arrive; apparently he was pretty comfy in mama's belly  Smiley

Being a craftster, and not caring for mass produced baby shower invites, I made my own

I sewed the umbrella onto the cardstock and then wrote on it.

In hindsight, the rainy paper made it a little difficult to read, I should have used the cloudy sky paper...

I made a bunting (my first) that spelled Cameron, I figured they could hang it in his bedroom later.  However, it turned out ALOT bigger than I imagined, so I'm not sure where they put it when they got it home...

Laura has a real sweet tooth, so for refreshments, I went with a dessert buffet

We also had peanuts, and cheese & crackers to offset all the sweet.

Diaper cake

Sock rose bouquet

Burp rags

Onesies, the first is a nod to his gamer parents, the second is for his mama's favorite team the- Steelers

More onesies

My favorite, biohazard on the butt

Crayon C-- I used the ones with the coolest names on the widest part

The strip quilt I made her.

Thanks for looking  Grin

Sorry for the delinquency!  This past week has been so hot, like living in Hades, that we haven't really done much of anything, so this pic is from a couple of weeks ago...and as I was loading it, I realized that it's kinda blurry.  Sorry folks, this menopausal gal ain't goin' out if she doesn't have to  Tongue
