yeah today has been horrible but I might make something to commemorate the terribly sucky day. I have 5 hours left. hehe

this thread was to kick myself in the butt, and I am already lagging.

Think I can join so late in the game? This seems like a good way to throw myself into more diverse quilting (meaning straying from squares. >. <)

All the blocks are soooo lovely that they are inspiring me.
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: "Use it or lose it" craftalong. Anyone? on: February 28, 2006 06:07:50 PM
Lets see, I have a knit kit for a mouse cover I havent peeked at, and a serger in its box from my birthday dying to be toyed with, and a lovely boxed filled with poloroid cases ( I know technically not a tool, but the pliers and s hooks I bought for it are...hehe) that will become a wall hanging.

I'll be checking back to see the date I actually kick myself in the pants and do it.

Great idea, and thanks to the two above posters for reminding me I had those things in the closet. I thought I had no unused tools. Le sigh.

As any of you who subscribe to jo-ann mailings now, and then those who are just more in the loop then me, you know that:

So I say we have a craftalong simply for the month. One a day, a craft on any scale, big, small, practical or silly. One thing or many things, just something crafty each day for the month of march.

Tommorow is the first so I say by midnight create something that day and post it here so we can celebrate the craftiness 31 ways.

Hope you guys are interested....either way I will be attempting this, as it is a mini challenge for my current lack of motivation.

8  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / Re: Project Runway Dress on: February 21, 2006 04:46:27 PM
I sat down to make this dress and made something entirely different. :/ I am still happy with my results and am eternally grateful to Kara for getting me to sit in front of my machine and attempt a dress for the first time. It is still unhemmed so I will hem it and take pictures and I made my sash removable so I had more versatility. And used a different border.

I sell them so I do not want to completely give away the technique, but you are on the right track  Wink
