1  Valentine's Day Themed Tom Servos! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by motoredxheart on: February 02, 2011 11:55:31 AM
I decided to make a Valentine themed Tom Servo to sell at my shop for Valentine's Day, check it out!

They come in pink and red, or red and pink. And instead of a clear glass bead for his head I made it out of a pink glass bead. I think they look really awesome!

Here's a close up of each color:

Nothing says love like some geeky tv show robot from the 90s, eh? Wink

2  Random TV/Movie Pendants (img heavy) in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by motoredxheart on: January 02, 2011 12:14:05 PM
I made a ton of awesome geeky clay I wanted to share. I love them all, check 'em out! Smiley

Tom Servo from Mystery Science Theater 3000. He's my favorite on the show. I used a glass bead for his head, I think it turned out great!

My favorite prank from the tv show The Office is when Jim puts Dwight's stapler in Jello. Too funny. I made a pendant with a clay stapler and set it in resin.

A minion from the movie Despicable Me! He's too cute.

The wreath from Nightmare Before Christmas. He's mean, but still awesome.

The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters. He's cute now, just wait until you make him mad. Wink

this was my favorite scene, and my favorite thing i've done with clay so far.  did anyone else notice in the movie indy's hands are bound in the front and his dad's are bound behind him?

sean connery's glasses were made out of bead wire

i even made indy all scruffy

4  advent & cookies & riddles oh my in Valentine's Day by motoredxheart on: May 17, 2007 09:22:16 AM
i used two great ideas for me and my boyfriends anniversary and put them together to make it my own.

first, i saw burstandbloom's xmas advent calendar and thought "hey, i could make one, but counting down to our anniversary."  so here it is, an anniversary advent:
i decided to make them squares instead of circles, and because i'm lazy i painted the insides red instead of putting paper strips in it.  check out 14 it's batman!   Cheesy

this is the last door, 17.  it's my favorite:

in the inside of the advent instead of little gifts i put in riddles.  each one is a riddle that if he guesses he gets that present for that day.  here's an example:
i come in fall colors.
in a box or a bag.
i melt when i'm hot,
two words that rhyme are my name.
what am i?
the answer is reese's pieces.  they are is favorite candy.  Smiley

and then i saw patty_o_furniture's awesome cookies.  me and my boyfriend have this inside joke and i thought these cookies would be perfect.  though, he doesn't like sugar cookies so i had to improvise with chocolate chip.  it was pretty tough but i think it turned out pretty good:
the bottom left one is mine, it's boy briefs heh.

technically he can't start the advent until june 1st, but the cookies are for today.  along with a polymer clay figure of michael douglas in falling down (his favorite movie), a mix cd of 80's cheeseball love songs, a zelda ipod cover, and a french toast casserole (french toast is his favorite food).  mmmm.

so thanks burstandbloom and patty_o_furniture!  Smiley

i have recieved from nymeria!  and i have to say this is the best swap ever!  i am spoiled, really.  here is all the things she sent to me:

an amazing pirates of the caribbean purse!  has a million pockets inside i love it.

spike from btvs box.  it has a tiny fold out drawer and everything!  in the inside it's painted red with a bleeding heart it looks so cool.

an army of darkness microscope slide pendant.  the image doesn't even come close to showing how awesome this thing is.  on the other side it says " the necronomicon.  it's a book bound in human flesh, bleeding with the powers of darkness."  words cannot describe my giddyness.

a blue sun firefly shirt!  i wore it the next day i got it so it's kinda wrinkly but it's a perfect fit.  Smiley

last but definitely not least, my favorite item a replica indiana jones grail diary.   Shocked  it's beautiful and perfect and i won't let anyone touch it.  sigh, look at it.  perfection in diary form.
here's what the inside looks like:

she also put in some potc stickers, some lip gloss, and two nail polishes i definitely intend on using in the future.  one is pink glitter, i love glitter and pink what are the odds?  Wink
thank you again nymeria, i am so incredibly thankful and lucky!   Cheesy

penguino told me she has recieved so i will post pics of what i sent her:

she said she loves tea so i sent her my favorite from teavana it's roobios orange tea.  mmm so good!  she also said she likes sea creatures so i sent her some cute stickers.  and last but not least the penguin change purse.

you can't see it in the picture but there is a thought bubble around the fish...see the penguin is thinking about the fishy button.   Cheesy  too cute.

i hope you liked your things penguino and happy birthday!  Smiley

since nymeria is having camera trouble i thought i would post some pics since i took them before i sent...

an overview of everything.

craft injuries notebook.  i tried to make it look kinda creepy all bloody and stuff.  turned out pretty cool.

sealab 2021 snowglobe.  i found this tutorial on how to make them with those 25 cent machine things and i read that nymeria liked snowglobes so voila.

my favorite, the robot chicken wallet.  had a lot of trouble with the velcro hope it worked in the end!

brock from the venture bros. bust.  i apologize for the black spot on the back nymeria i was eating chocolate and it mixed in with the paint.   Lips sealed

i'm so glad you like your stuff, it was really fun making all of it!

9  Re: The X-Men Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by motoredxheart on: July 13, 2006 08:19:10 AM
my partner recieved yey!  she asked me if i would show the photos so here they are:

- nightcrawler notebook
- xmen fuzzy dice
- gambit wallet
- puzzle

fuzzy dice, my favorite thing.  took me over 12 hours sewing non-stop by hand.  each side has a different character's power/ability cosmiccranberry likes.  magneto, avalanche, quicksilver, rogue, gambit, nightcrawler, wolverine, storm, pyro, beast, mystique, and an xmen logo thrown in too.

gambit wallet. with 2 pockets and 4 credit card holders in the inside.

nightcrawler notebook.  i had an extra copy of nightcrawler issue 12 so i tore pieces and put them all throughout the front/back/insides.

i really hope you liked all of it, it was so fun to make.  the fuzzy dice were incredibly hard to part with but i'm sure they went to a great home.  Smiley
