1  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Short N Sweet on: August 28, 2007 12:48:59 PM
Here's another one finished!  I crocheted it out of Berroco Merino.  Fun pattern and I only modified the sleeves by crocheting only 4 rounds instead of 8.  Thanks for looking.

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Pink baby hat and an unwilling model... on: August 14, 2007 11:21:05 AM
It's so fun reading about all the FO's that I decided to put one in of my own.

I finished this baby hat in a few hours.  It's just a simple top down hat w/ seed stitch edge.  I used Wendy yarn, about 1/2 skein.  The model is my mini dachshund Waldo.  He was very mad at me for making him put the hat on.  I'm starting to volunteer as a doula for a local hospital and thought it would be nice to give a hat to every baby who's birth I attend.  Don't worry, I'm going to wash the hat!!!

3  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Stitch Diva Goddess Top on: June 30, 2007 02:25:12 PM
Has anyone started this top?  I bought the pattern from Stitch Diva and wondered if anyone wanted to join me.  I am knitting it in the recommended Lang Opal.   The start was a bit rough for me but it's coming along now.  I'd love to see pictures of any finished Goddess's.  You can find the pattern here.  www.stitchdiva.com
4  California / California: South / New knitting group in North County San Diego... on: December 24, 2006 09:29:02 PM
I couldn't find a knitting group that meets in North County San Diego so I decided to form my own.  If anyone wants to get together for knitting and conversation, please check out the Yahoo Groups site and join!  The link is at the bottom of this post.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Lovely Lacy Socks from Interweave on: October 13, 2006 09:14:42 AM
Anyone knit these socks?  I loved the pattern and the socks are going to be fun to wear.  Details are on my blog but here is a picture.

6  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Chic Knits Ariann on: September 28, 2006 05:42:59 PM
Is anyone planning to knit this cool sweater?  I just saw that Bonne Marie posted this cool pattern on her blog.  Check it out.

It calls for worsted weight yarn.  I have some cotton ease in my stash that I can use.  I'd love to have someone join me in a knit along.  I'm planning on casting on this weekend.

7  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Anyone knitting "Glee"? on: August 26, 2006 10:55:20 AM
I just got my Andean Treasure in a dark maroony red and going to cast on for it in the next few weeks.  Anyone want to join me?

Here's the site where you can get the pattern...
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Completed Celebrity Shawl on: May 06, 2006 11:41:58 PM
This was my first crocheting attempt in a few years.

And here's another pick with the fringe on it.
I put the fringe on it but have yet to post a picture of it on my blog.  I love this shawl!  I knit it using a pattern from Stitch Diva and a yarn called Kim.  The yarn was very inexpensive.  $3.60 a ball and I only used 4 balls of it including the fringe.  More details on my blog www.gailknits.blogspot.com.  I plan on wearing it a lot more on warm summer nights when I just need something really light to cover my shoulders.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / A finished Kiri on: April 05, 2006 07:30:14 PM
Hi All,

I finished the Kiri shawl last weekend and I love it!  Too bad it's intended for a gift.  I loved everything about this project: the yarn, pattern, my needles.  In case you're wondering I used an Alpaca yarn in a cranberry color and used addi size 5 needles.  Definitely fun and it would have been a quick knit if I had lots of time to knit.  LOL, that will come after I finish school.  It measured 66 inches after I was done with my 11 repeats on each side of the center stitch marker.
10  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Knit and Tonic's Somewhat Cowl? on: January 05, 2006 09:52:36 PM
Has anyone started this beautiful sweater?  The pattern can be found on www.knitandtonic.typepad.com.

I cast on for this one yesterday in a yarn I had in my stash.  Filatura di Crosa Ambra Camel Hair.  So far, I love the yarn and I'm doing the raglan shaping.

If anyone is interested in doing a KAL, I'd love to join.
