thats not standard cross stitch...is there an extra box around each stitch? I like the look of the stitches!

anyone know if that type of stitch has a certain name?

first off awesome project! I love the look of it! and, I dont mind the lack of fabric tension...

but, if you were trying to fix the tension I'd try two things...

1st - did you iron the fabric? I think you did, but if not that may help.

2nd - If you have a piece of cardboard or something you can lace the side edges around the back of it and pull it tight, kinda like shoe laces? I dont know if that makes sense, but it can easily pull it taut and remove those lines...
