wow! craftster uploader didn't fight with me. Shocked so here is my package from mandykaye
my little man with a set of horns and a little green guitar bead

and a second set of horns

a little goddess

some little plant marker may poles

some little fairy houses, irish magnet marbles and a shell offering dish that will be going on the little man's altar

a barefoot sandal, goddess necklace, fairy and toadstool necklace and dream catcher (now happily hanging over the little man's bed)

a femo'd altoids tin and the extras

i *think* that was it but it was hard to keep the little man from running off with everything.

whoohoo! it is a bright sunny day so i was able to get some pics.  it is still a crappy phone pic but the best i could do.

selkie sent me a neat knitted hearth for my altar.  i forgot to tell her that my altar is in my window box but i think it is acrylic yarn so i think it will be ok.  if not my 3 yo wants to steal it anyway. lol
a pic on my altar and a close up

8  Re: making baby mobiles... in Discussion and Questions by impchild on: November 13, 2006 03:23:18 PM
i think i would either find little stuffed animal patterns that i like or that go with their theme and attach them to a square or circle. i think i would either use a embroidery hoop (or anything like that) wrapped with ribbon like in the second pic or a square with a "tent over it like in the last pic. if they don't have a theme bright colors are good as they encourage eye developement

10  Re: need pattern for this simple top in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by impchild on: October 14, 2006 08:03:20 PM
it looks like 4 bands to me.  a band of knit or solid with elastic at the top (2" wide and a few inches smaller than your above bust measurement) a band of the pattern (about your bust measturement +2-3" and about 4-6" wide - though that you would want to measure that on you from above the bust where you want to shirt to sit over the breast to where you want it to end) another 3-4" band of knit/solid (if using a knit i would make it 1-2"smaller than you underbust measurement.  if using a woven it gets a bit trickier... since you are a novice sewer i wouldn't take this route though if you want i can try to explain it.) then a band of solid (about your hip measurement +2-3" and an approprite length... the shirt has a given measurement of 21" which would make it about 9 to 12".  i would just make it a flattering measurement for you.)

the construction itself is fairly simple.  just gather each each section to the one below it.

as for patterns you could use, simplicity 4218
