21  First time domino pendants in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by yoyowa on: August 02, 2009 06:40:03 PM
I made these forever ago but never got to posting. These are a few of my domino pendants, the first ones I've made. Some have a resin coating, some don't.
Comments are always welcome!

22  Re: Summer Fill a Flat Rate box swap gallery! in The Swap Gallery by yoyowa on: July 19, 2009 05:56:42 AM
I'm sorry, I'm so delayed in posting. I received this package Thursday from Lolo_, which added the cherry to my sundae (Thursday I was an extra in a movie coming out 'The Fighter' with Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale and Amy Adams. May I just say Mark is as fine as ever, but Christian Bale looks awful. He lost so much weight for the role to look like a crack addict)

Anyways, here's some pics (i apologize for the bluriness, my camera sux which stinks cause I can't take pics for my etsy...ugh):

^ half the loot

^ the other half of the loot

^ some really cool vintage TV GUIDE cards, some cutouts from magazines and some vintage looking comic book covers on cards

^ a blurry picture of my small whimsie jar. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited when I saw this. And Lolo_ made a cute little bracelet thing around the jar with my name. And the polka dot ribbon was a nice touch. Inside was some beads and little things I can use for resin and some floss for friendship bracelets.

Some highlights were the polka dot fabric (love it) and an incense burner, which is creepy because I just bought some new incense and my old burner is in bad shape, its like she knew! also included were some star wars things, 2 cookbooks and  a comic books (someone did her research! I didn't mention my star wars love on the questionaire. I really appreciate the time you put into this Lolo_). I also got some red rubber bands, which I also needed (creepy), thread, stickers, old books for journaling/paper crafting, a zipper....A LOT of stuff.

Thank you so much Lolo_!

Sorry to be a late poster!

Here is the package Pure Oath sent me. It was a BROADWAY themed package, because I love my musicals. Each item/package had notes like "Eat this during the show!" or "write to home, tell them about all the stars you met!", etc. It was very cute but in my eagerhaste, I threw away the notes before pictures Sad
SOrry about the poor quality, my camera is lacking and I can not afford a new one.

A little basket (great for my ocd organization problem), a cute little zippered pouch, some cute cupcake post earrings and some Heroes trading cards.

A corny collins show shirt and some fun stationary.

Some roasted nuts and chocolate cheesecake candy. I'm saving these for a special occasion Smiley

A vase/pen holder. The pens a wicked themed!

the pens

A hairspray decorated box (my fav musical) fulll of fun beads!

24  I know why the caged bird sings - well not really - fly away to my bedroom in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by yoyowa on: February 16, 2009 03:45:49 PM
This was my room originally:  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=248107.msg2749793#msg2749793 (the bottom pics)

It was boring - not at all how I imagined it. It had no sense of style like I had hoped. It was just bland. So I needed a change.
I saw this room: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=258735.0     and got inspired. After some minor contracted work I painted the walls the tealy color. And it looked awful with the red I had. So I came up with a new game plan. On a whim I bought a wall stick that looked like a bird cage on a limb - it was my style but I thought hey, why not? And then I went crazy

When you walk into the room you see this. I know its a bit bare - i need curtains but I'm low on money right now.

On the right next to the door is my inspiration for the room - that vinyl bird cage/branch sticker thing. I then got the comferter with the branches designed and my room became teal, black and white. By the way, the thing hanging above my bed is my dollar store archery set, lol

Behind the chair are cicles of green and blue dots, each with a white shadow of a tree/branches - perfect I know. I love the dollar store. There are the floating shelves - a pain to put up and I'm still afraid they're going to fall down-but they're pretty! Of course my ikea chair and Ronalds, whom I've had for awhile now holding my scarves. The flooring is horrible but I can't afford a huge change. The rug - I got two for $30 - I love building 19. They match great and add more green accent color. The only problem - there's brown instead of black, but hell, I don't care.

Yay! I rec'd from my partner! My camera is breaking (ugh, in the middle of making someone a b-day slideshow.....) so i only have two pics....

a mr.darcy pic in a beautiful frame (i have a crush on him), a tracy turnblad hand drawn, and some 'artist trading cards' - very cute and funky drawings on trading card sized paper. Very nice.

some nail polish (I have red polish on my toes 365 day a year) and two very random items. A keychain he found at work that no one claimed and some very cute small spoons.

i know y'all are reading breaking dawn right now ( i'm taking a break - once i start reading i can't stop and I have work tomorrow, I was up till 6am already. I must say I'm a little disappointed with it but its still good) and I'm not in this swap but I felt the need to post some Breaking Dawn release party....

I brought my friend (whose never read the book) so it was hysterically. They had all these games that I wasn't into and I felt out of my element surrounded by teenagers....

my friend with her fangs

help! she's biting me!

my bite marks
and a small portion of the crowd there...around 11:00. There were some REALLY annoying 11 yr olds there that kept singing the killers in monotone...my friend ended up putting on her headphones, haha

Anyways, happy reading
