181  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / D-RING TAPE on: August 19, 2005 04:00:47 PM
Does anyone know if there is a supplier in Canada that sells "d-ring tape" online??  I can't seem to find anything.

The stuff I'm looking for looks like this:

182  CLOTHING / Sewing Pattern Reviews / Simplicity Corset Pattern #9769 on: August 19, 2005 03:06:23 PM
Simplicity Corset Pattern #9769
Authentic Civil War Corset, Chemise and Drawers.

Has anyone used the corset?  I am using the "plus sized" version.  I think it is sized 14-20.  The corset it self looks awfully short. Would it be possible to lengthen it? Should I increase the top or the bottom?

Also, if anyone has used this pattern could hook and eye tape be used in place of a busk as long as I run boning beside it??

Thanks for the help.
183  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Funky corset inspired guitar "rock and roll shirt"...womens plus! on: August 08, 2005 09:49:04 PM
I bought this cool t-shirt at Wal-Mart for $8.96 (canadian) and thought it was awesome but it was a mens shirt.  I thought I could do it some justice with some scissors and eyelet tape...here it is.

Oh sorry, I forgot to take a picture of it BEFORE I cut it up...oh well I'm sure you can figure it out.

Best of all it's available for sale on ebay!!!  It would fit a slightly more...ample lady, such as myself.  It fit me well and my measurements are 46" x 41" x 46" it would probably fit well on someone my size or a little bigger.

Here's the link if anyone's interested.

I wank to cut them into designs and attach them to the bottom of skirts, but can they be washed???

186  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How much fabric for corset? on: July 27, 2005 03:33:20 PM
Hi I am interested in making a duct tape corset and I'm unsure how much fabric I'll need.

My measurements are about 47" (bust) 38" (waist) and 47" hips) (WOAH NELLY!!!).

I am wanting to make an overbust corset.  (This is my first time).
187  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / shrug / bolero pattern on: July 26, 2005 08:42:50 AM
Hi, I am looking for a pattern for a shrug.  I saw the topic and tutorial at:

https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=24372.0

I am looking for a pattern like this but I am looking for one that does not tie in the front.  Could this pattern possibly be adapted, if so how.

Or does anyone know of another easy shrug pattern that isn't knit?
