Jule, it is fabric.  It matches the loud shorts I made my sons  http://img23.photobucket.com/albums/v68/bethan/July4th%20Sewing/

HC, it does have something on the chest... Again it matches my sons' shirts.  It is to reflect our dual heritage/nationality. Its a bit small but it went fuzzy when I blew it up.

SarahFroggy, I was actually ticked off at my husband because he was fussing over taking the photo!

15  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re:To Dye For sweater on: February 18, 2004 12:36:35 PM
Haven't done a sweater, but here is a diaper cover I made with recycled yarn from a lambswool sweater

There are some more pictures here http://home.san.rr.com/bethan/woolpics/  including one of the skeins drying and also a stripey cover

I actually knocked back the colours.  They were brighter when I first dyed them if you can believe it!

The white with hearts set, I purchased the panties from wally world for $3 and adorned them.  The camisole I drew from my sports bra pattern.  I used some really stretchy cotton lycra for it with 1 1/2" knit elastic for the underbra and satin bias tape for the straps.

The black set, I traced a pair that fit me and cut them out of black cotton jersey knit... lycra would have been better but hubby bought the knit for me.  I edged them in black fold over elastic... wonderful stuff, covers all sorts of evils, binds and elasticates where you need it in one step.   Before putting the waistband on I cut a V in the centre back.  Edged it in fold over elastic and then cut and arranged polka dot ribbons and stitched them down.  Then I put the waistband on.

It would be very easy to adapt a bought pair... unpick the waistband, cut the V, bind it, put the ribbon on and then put the waistband back...

The black bra, it was a sweet nothings from Walmart... sweater/tshirt bra... molded foam cups covered in thin stretchy microfiber.  I cut along the cleavage edge and pulled the microfiber back out of the way.  Then I tried the bra on and drew the line I wanted.  Cut away the foam and then stretched the microfiber back over the edge.  I stitched it down on the machine and then stitched the polka dot ribbon on top.

20  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re:Newsprint chequebook cover on: February 14, 2004 04:29:27 PM
Thanks everyone. I gave it to my husband and he was thrilled.

Thanks for the translation.  I agree, it would be funny to have something about porn.

I just sewed the bias on.  It made a funny pwock pwock noise while being sewed but I didn't use any special needles or machine feet and it went on fine.
