21  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Unused OLD ink cartidges? on: May 20, 2004 02:44:48 PM
What the heck can I do with these?  We had a bag of old ink cartridges dropped off at work today that we can't sell.  Can I use the ink inside for anything?
22  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / neck tie = cute choker! YAY!! on: April 12, 2004 10:11:10 PM
I'm so proud!  this was a quick project. I saw this idea somewhere a while back, so was going off memory... Added a decorative button and some velcro, and viola!

(removed some things due to server issues- sorry no more pix)
23  Georgia / Georgia: Central / Boutiques in and around Atlanta? on: March 08, 2004 08:07:46 PM
This is a late call, but I am going to Atlanta and will have a day to spend out and about.  I wanna hit some boutiques and shops that I wouldn't have known about otherwise.  Anyone got any goodies that I can't find anywhere else?

I'd love to know..
24  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Getting over project humiliation...:P help? on: March 01, 2004 11:36:21 AM
I donno if this is the right place for this, but it does have to do with strife about making bags....

Has anyone else been in an extended "funk" with making things?  I am trying so very hard to be productive.  Im 25 and have been sewing and all since helping my mom make Barbie clothes for myself.  Im a perfectionist, but this is getting rediculous.  I have tried to make 2 different bags over the past month - no actually 3.  None have been a success.  Either my initial pattern gets screwed, or the machine embroidery gets screwed up.  My last attempt was most dissapointing, as I only had a certain small amount of fabric so there were no "do overs" availabile.
I feel like selling my machine and all the software and my huge stash of fabric--yet I can't tear myself away from the crafty world- these boards, blogs, etc.  I got this fancy machine and all with the intent of getting a web boutique started.. I don't even hardly have the bones of the site dones, but it feels pointless due to my lack of stuff made.  Its circular really.
Any advice for a girl in a funk?  Any easy projects to help me out of my funk?
thanks..... ya'll rock...
