2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Pacman and Undecided Messenger Bag on: July 06, 2006 05:36:08 PM
For school this comming year I decided I didn't want just any bag, I want a custom bag. And so did my sister. So I came up with these: no pattern, no tut, just me doing what I do...

My bag:
I'm not sure how I'm going to decorate mine. For now there are just a couple of pins on it. But I'm sure I will stencil it sooner or later.

And the inside complete w/ pockets:

My sister's packman bag:

The packman and mrs. pacman stencil came from stencilry but i drew the ghosts and pacdots myself.

Let me know what you think!
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / It's like money! sort of... on: July 04, 2006 09:57:47 PM
From my little sister's old fake money set. I (well my mom) drilled holes in them and there you have it.

[I think I've been crafting too much lately...]  Wink

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / very, very large HOODIE --> BACKPACK on: July 04, 2006 09:24:44 PM
I once had a very old hoodie which I got from my mother and is far too large to fit anyone in my family.

One night, I couldn't sleep because all of my ideas for craft projects were swimming around in my head when VIOLA! I came up with an idea.

2 hours, 1 large headache, some black paint, and 1/2 a spool of black thread later and I have this:

It's a backpack! I stenciled kissing fairies on it (which I think I got from stencilry???)

Me, modeling my new bag:
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Poptarts and Leopard (oh my) 5 pics on: July 04, 2006 09:02:24 PM
I got the idea for this bag from Unlucky435's Poptart tampon cozzzzzy:

The Poptart side:

And the wrapper side (yes, it's reversable):

It's made entirely out of felt (except for the thread to sew it together and the beads of course) so it cost less than $2.50.

And now for the leopard (that I just threw together):

The purse:

And a pencil pouch for the upcomming school year:

Thanks so much for looking!
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Washer Earrings on: July 02, 2006 03:37:26 PM
My washer earrings:

I used 3 different sizes of silver washers and wrapped thin gold wire around them. I also put gold sead beads on the wire even though it's kind of hard to see them in the pictures.
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Crackers??? [img hvy] on: June 15, 2006 07:03:17 PM
I'm not sure if this really counts as a reconstuction but they were something before they became purses: a graham cracker box and a wheat thin box!

All I really did was decoupage on news paper and magazine clippings and then trim with blue duct tape (and fuzzy yarn on one) and then used big shoes strings I found in my craft box for handles.

The one I made for me:

The one I made for my little sister:

Thanks for looking!
