11  Re: Mandolin Stencil? in Stenciling: Discussion and Questions by frozen_peas on: September 11, 2005 04:56:21 PM
Did a quick google img search for mandolin:

Uh... it sorta looks like one! If you cut out the No Image bit. ^^

Good luck with everything!

12  Fabric Octopus -Now with Tute!- in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by frozen_peas on: September 10, 2005 02:31:35 PM
Edit: Tute on p2! https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=52680.msg512456#msg512456

I decided to finally get around to posting a project of mine from a few months ago: meet Susie! Ain't she cute? Pattern mostly mine, very simple. Photos don't do justice:

Sewn entirely by hand, including looooooooots of buttons. Thrifted fabrics- I love the rose one. The little polkadots are actually pink on white, if you can't see. Mismatch metal button eyes and a little embroidered smile.

What do you think? I love her ^^.

13  Re: Lining Round Knit Bag (a bit IMG heavy) in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by frozen_peas on: August 31, 2005 10:14:27 AM
definitely  Cheesy

I thought I'd share with you my very first dart. ^^ I did make the idiotic mistake of pinning wrong sides together on my practice fabric, but my ego and I are pretending it's perfect.
I don't know why the pic is so crappy...

Evidently I didn't cut the edge as straight as I thought I did, but whatever. Now that I know a bit more about how this works, all I have to do is find some fabric to match...
I really hope my bag doesn't turn out all mutilated >< at least knitting I know more what the h*ll I'm doing!

14  Lining Round Knit Bag (a bit IMG heavy) in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by frozen_peas on: August 27, 2005 01:40:58 PM
Lo knitters! I was wondering if anyone knows anything about lining a bag knit on rounds. The shape seems like it would be really hard to line (w/ just regular fabric). I'm wondering if it's possible.

Here's a pic or two. Sorry about the size.

excuse my shadow  Tongue

and for fun, action shot!

What do you think? I've never seen lining done like this before, and I don't think it can be. But it would be nice. Oh, and this is a mix of patterns. I can splain it if you want. Thanks for looking!

17  Re: Poptab Bracelet... Made of Poprtabs in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by frozen_peas on: August 13, 2005 07:59:03 PM
Thanks everybody (comments!  Grin)

I actaully have been messing around with the weave- here's something my friend and I (same friend) did with buttons. Same idea... twisted so you can see both sides.

18  what can you make with a dog bandana? in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by frozen_peas on: August 13, 2005 10:16:08 AM
why, anything you like! (I can make a hat, I can make a brooch, I can make a pterodactyl...)

er... ok.

This is a reversable purse insert type-thing, to put whatever you like in, and then you put it in your purse. It's for my frog-obsessed friend. The frog side is old pajamas and the circly side is dog bandanna! Like the always put on him when you bring him home from the groomer's.

Inside has an ever so slightly skewed pocket. It's really not as bad as it looks in the picture.

Also, a button bracelet to match using the poptab weave.  Cheesy

It's twisted so you can see both sides.

Wow, those pictures are really weirdly sized! Stupid me... Anywho, comments please!

19  Poptab Bracelet... Made of Poprtabs in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by frozen_peas on: August 11, 2005 02:16:30 PM
edit: hehe sorry about the R in the title... whatever. Tongue :

yeah. Basic bracelets using a pattern from on here. Sorry about ugly carpet, excessive amount of
(poor quality) photos because my friend and I were having too much fun with the camera, etc.
21 poptabs per bracelet.

If anyone has any questions about the weave feel free to ask.  Cheesy

I know that in that last pic it looks like my thumb's at a painful angle, but it's not.

Oh, and my friend says that anybody wanting to try this should remember that all the poptabs on top have to go a different way than all the poptabs on the bottom, or the holes to thread the string through won't be shaped right.
