11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / How long are needles? on: July 09, 2007 06:40:49 PM
I hope it's alright that I post this here....

I am making a needle roll for a personal swap, and I need to know approximately how long a knitting needle is.
Thanks a million in advance!
12  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Turning 21.. but pregnant!! on: July 01, 2007 02:59:51 PM
Okay, so in less than a week, one of my best friends turns 21. She's pretty bummed about it though because she's pregnant!!

We're surprising her with dinner reservations with a bunch of her friends & family. Can you guys think of something fun I can make her- preferably for use at the dinner?

Someone is already making her a 'crunk' cup- although she can't drink alcohol, she can still drink in style!! hehe
13  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Cupcake / Sweets Swap? on: May 12, 2007 03:20:32 PM
I know there's lots of cupcake-lovers out there!! I would loooove to do a swap themed around cupcakes, candy, cookies, ice cream, etc..

I have lots of 'sweets'-print fabric and I was thinking of things like stuffies.

I'm not really interested in organizing, so if someone could do that- you'd be my hero  Smiley

14  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Wooden tray* on: May 10, 2007 09:38:42 AM
Inspired by the crafty goddess, mmcheezesandwich, I've decided to redecorate my mother's room for her birthday. It's not until September, but I made my first small (and oh so simple!) item today and am pleased with how it turned out.

It's a tray for.. whatever she decides to put on it! I'm going to do the room in chocolate brown & blue.
Thanks for looking!

17  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Glitter in soap? on: April 30, 2007 10:09:45 AM
I've just begun making M&P soap and I want to include glitter. Can I use regular craft glitter or does it have to be special stuff- maybe designed for cosmetics?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!!
18  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Diaper Wreath on: April 29, 2007 01:20:45 PM
I made my first diaper wreath this afternoon. It was super easy.. I just used tiny, clear hair elastics to hold together diapers after I slipped them over a foam wreath. Then I tied the extras on (pacifier, toy keys, baby lotion, etc.) and went a little crazy with the curling ribbon..

19  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Easy Gift on: April 06, 2007 05:18:21 PM
My mom works in a doctor's office & I made this for her to keep her name badge on. Also, when she isn't wearing her glasses, she can fold and hang them on the ring.
I think it would be a good gift for a receptionist or a maybe a nurse..

In case it's not obvious.. I just threaded beads on 2 threads of stretchy string. In the middle, where the ring (which is just a keyring) is, I beaded the individual strings so that the ring would stay right there in the middle.
Thanks for looking Smiley
