1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Ribbon-embellished onesie on: March 14, 2009 07:06:39 PM
Unbelievably easy and I love how it turned out. My daughter's wardrobe will be getting more of these!! But next time I'll know to put the butt ruffle a little bit lower

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / YCMT Annette on: March 14, 2009 07:03:00 PM
This is the Annette Reversible Sundress pattern from YouCanMakeThis.com. Very simple and quick!

The reverse is just light blue

I made a size 1 for future use, but my 2 month old will probably be in it this summer!!

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Minky Monkey on: April 28, 2008 10:05:10 AM
Minky material & Erin Michael's Monkey'n Round flannel.. I really fell in love with the cute monkeys!

It can be a blanket.. changing pad.. tummy time mat- whatever Smiley Thanks for looking!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Cupcake pillowcase dress & party hat on: April 10, 2008 09:09:02 AM

My niece {actually, my very best friend's daughter} is turning one on June 1st.. so of course Aunt Sally had to whip up a birthday dress!!
I got the adorable fabric from ebay. I love how the cupcakes have shimmery gold on them- since it will be her golden birthday: one on the first. After wanting to make one for a long time, this is my first pillowcase dress.  I love it! The party hat is probably my favorite part though Smiley

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Beside- um- caddy (?) on: December 08, 2007 08:43:34 PM
So what do you make for the little sister who has a small bedroom, which always seems to be a mess?? Here's my solution.

It fits between the two matresses on a bed.. I made a large pocket for a magazine/book, and the top two pockets are for her cell & iPod. The rest is for whatever she wants to put in it. Oh, and I also added clear vinyl pockets for hairties/bobby pins/jewelry Smiley Hope she likes it!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Let's Rock! Outfit (a lil img. heavy) on: November 19, 2007 09:41:37 AM
I just finished this outfit for my rockin 6-month old niece. I'm pretty new at sewing & very pleased with the result! Grin Thanks for looking!!

The whole thing:

Front applique

The butt, which is hidden by the skirt

The skirt

A teensy bit of detail on the skirt's bottom hem
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Toilet paper holder/cozy on: November 03, 2007 12:16:00 PM
My mom has a cat that loves to unroll & chew up TP that is hanging next to the toilet. So she just sets the roll on the counter. Well I just found this fabulous tute: http://indietutes.blogspot.com/2007/10/toliet-paper-cozy.html and whipped one up for her. This would also be great for someone with a TP-loving toddler in the house! Smiley

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / New Mommy Xmas gift on: October 19, 2007 05:11:49 PM
My best friend has a 5 month baby girl and I was thinking about making her a sort of New Mommy/relaxation kit for Christmas.
All I can come up with is a babysitting coupon, sleep mask, and a heating/cool pack (with corn or barley inside).
Any ideas??
9  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Simplicity true to size?? on: October 18, 2007 10:08:27 AM
I have Simplicity's 5316 that I plan on using for Christmas gifts for a few small children-- I was wondering if Simplicity's sizes (for example 6-9 mon) are pretty close to normal... In my (limited) experience, Simplicity's adult clothing runs pretty big.

Thanks a bunch!
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Army Camo Pillow on: September 29, 2007 02:56:45 PM
My dad is Retired Army and was getting rid of a bunch of his old BDU uniforms a couple years ago. I snagged one of the jackets and whipped up a little pillowcase. It's pretty wonky because this was waay before I really got into sewing. The middle part with the buttons is open- it's where the pillow slips in at.
Anyway, it's a really simple thing but I thought it might give someone an idea Smiley
