1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / EARRING THREADERS? on: July 19, 2007 10:36:07 AM
You know those earrings that have no backs, you just pull them thru your ear?  It's like a chain with a pointed thing at the end so that the farther you pull it back, the shorter the earring hangs in the front...  where can i get the little threader things so i can make some earrings with them?
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Guinea Pig Cuddle-Up! ***with new picture of cuddling!*** on: December 30, 2005 06:30:55 PM

he finally figured out how to use it properly!!! hooray

excuse the demonic look, the flash iritated his eyes!  :(i saw these on a guinea pig website, and thought, i could make that! so uh... i did. it's intended for them to snuggle and sleep in, i put a little bit of stuffing on the bottom, so it's a little cushioned. i would have put more, but i only had a little bit. i think these could be made for other animals as well, like dogs and cats. for them to keep warm in!  Grin
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Pretty bottle vase idea on: December 09, 2005 04:58:00 PM
maybe this is a really obvious idea that's been posted a bajillion times. but for those of us, who like me, need a little push sometimes to craft something simple... here goes.

it's a lot prettier in real life, but i was too lazy to get out the real camera as usual.  Undecided i basically took a olive oil bottle that i thought was pretty, put a flower into it, and called it a vase. hmm.  Tongue then at the last second, stuck it onto a cd. you could also put small rocks into it as long as you can fit them into the opening. any ideas on painting glass?Huh

5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / HELP! excessive hand washing! on: November 12, 2005 06:39:46 PM
My best friend has a problem with obsessive hand washing.  Cry   she's afraid if she washes her hands, that she can't touch the soap dispenser cuz she touched it when her hands were 'dirty'. in fact, she's washed them so much that they are bright red and speckly. i'm doing my best to help her, but i was wondering if anyone had anymore information on this subject. as in how to help her etc. i've looked up possible causes on the internet, and i've come up with OCD and germ phobia. i'm not really sure which one it is because she won't admit she has a problem.  but her mom,  has asked me to see what i can find out. HELP PLEASE!
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / simply elegant marble necklace on: November 12, 2005 01:53:40 PM
hey. i would just like to say, that i stuck my foot in my pool to make ripples, and it was REALLY cold!  Shocked  these necklaces are made out of a marble and the wire from a spiral bound notebook (although any thick wire will do i'm sure).  i got the idea when i was SUPPOSED to be cleaning my room and found a container of pretty marbles. the green one is mine, and the blue is the one my mom demanded i make her. lol  Cheesy

the wire looks a bit twisty in this pic, but i think it's part of it's charm
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / ballerina sketch on: November 10, 2005 08:22:52 PM
this is my first time posting in the art section Grin this is one of my many sketches. i found it really difficult to take a decent picture, so i took a bunch hoping one would be good. i left the guy out that was in the original drawing because i really liked the lines that the girl made. and as you can see i didn't draw in a face Sad i tried, but the angle that her face is tilted made it hard to draw correctly. tell me what you think (don't be too hard on me though, only 14 Embarrassed)

full sketch:

the 'trunk' i guess you'd say:

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Ideas on how to make a mesenger bag/tote out of two basmati rice bags???? on: November 10, 2005 03:01:19 PM
Here's a pic of what i have:

Srry about the crappyiness of it. i had to stretch my webcam cord cuz i didn't feel like using the digital. i have two of these CHANDI basmati rice bags that i found in the garage. i really liked the look of them and decided to make a bag, but i'm drawing a blank as to how to reconstruct them.  they have a zipper at the top, but in a weird, not functional place (it's the red line) i cut open the top of it, but it's not really the right shape or size to hold any books. HELP ME!

p.s. i have two of the bags!
