1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / A Plethora of Fabric From a $3 Nightgown... on: March 22, 2018 07:09:26 AM
I thrifted a 3X sized nightgown and was in LOVE with the gray plaid silky fabric, so I decided to upcycle- twice! I took it simple first, making a simple silk tank from the top half of the nightgown- which are all the rage right now. Then to use the rest of the skirt fabric, I decided on a pair of pants... yes, pants. My roommate gave me the idea of a pair of cropped, wide leg pants using the existing lace slits on the sides. I knew they would be an interesting turn out- and they are! I planned to wear them out and about but definitely think they could totally double as a cute PJ set with the top. I absolutely love their uniqueness and am so happy I didn't just make another boring skirt. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy these projects : )

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Upcycling the Most BEAUTIFUL Lace I Have Ever Worked With! on: February 28, 2018 11:14:57 AM
Moved from: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?board=8.0

Hey! This is my project from start to finish- reconstructing an old top that I was just going to give away. This project is definitely the most technical sewing project I've ever taken on, but I am super proud of myself looking at the finished product!! I'm so so happy I decided to give it a go because this lace is honestly to die for combined with the blush pink color... SO GORGEOUS! I hope you like it! Thanks for watching Smiley

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / From rug to shirt! on: February 27, 2018 05:03:55 PM
Hey everyone!! I upcycled this rug I found at the thrift store for super cheap into a top! I actually didn't realize it was a rug when I bought it, but loved it too much not to take on the challenge of reconstructing it into something wearable. I hope you like my video- it's definitely a project that has changed my point of view on materials I could possibly work with.
