21  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / and you thought YOUR room was colorful.. on: January 29, 2006 10:47:10 AM
i've been re-doing my room for a few months now, going with a colorful/mish-mash theme. so here's what is done so far, and i apologize for the mess.

this is my door, obviously. i have blue christmas lights going around the ceiling and the edge of my door. i stole the poster off of my band teacher. above that there's a little peice of paper i got from a college flyer that says "what inspires you?".

my bed..with the infamous rainbow bedding from PB teen. i fell inlove with the bedding in the magazine and thats where the whole rainbow idea for my room came from. originally my room's theme was stars and moons.

closeup of the shelf above my bed. that charicature of me was done when i went to ocean city, maryland, this summer. some guy was wandering around and he drew your picture with a sharpie in 60 seconds for a little tip. there's a little wooden yellow star that hangs off of the bottom of the shelf too.

told you my room was a mess.

my dressers. that cyan-ish thing on the top of my window is a feather boa.

my closet, which i really really want to paint a mural on it. you can see my star lamp and one of the yellow glittery wooden stars that i have hanging from the ceiling. there's actually ten, and they're held up my tape and fishing line. i painted them myself. the lamp i found in boston at a store called FUNusual.

and that's my room..and i really need to finish cleaning it. XD

So attempting that!

I'm going to have to try this now because I want a little sketchbook.
24  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: i wish there's a board for venting/ranting...sigh.... on: January 20, 2006 10:17:03 AM
I have that same problem. I'd be all motivated to sew something, then the minute I get some fabric and plot myself down in front of a machine I just sit there like a bump on a log. It's horrible!
25  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: literally, a monster purse! ((reposted, an apology, and a tutorial)) on: January 20, 2006 10:01:44 AM
I know I have been back to this thread in awhile, but I'm glad I did today. I love all the purses everyone has made, they're magnificent. And you have no idea how happy you guys make me to know you don't hold a grudge. (:

@elrro: So so sorry this is so late. eBay? Hm, that is a possibility. I have one I'm working on now (a light blue one), so she may go up for sale or not. I still have to figure out some sort of price range on these.

I should post a picture of Scrumps now, the poor dear is falling apart at the seams! He will be turned into a pillow sometime soon.

I absolutly adore your purses, and if I can get my hands on some quality fabric when I get home from school I'm definitly attempting one.
27  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Fifties-esque polka-dot top with peter pan collar :) on: January 08, 2006 01:58:06 PM
That fabric is awesome! What is it, cotton?

I have a knee-length flouncy khaki skirt that would look PERFECT with that shirt. I may have to attempt to make it now. And get navy maryjanes. (:
28  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Re: anyone else getting cranky? on: December 07, 2005 07:58:51 PM
You know when you wait months and months for a swap package, and when it FINALLY arrives it is crap - seriously, not being rude of skills, but just plain crap - or no effort, or just UPSETTING because they've not played fair...Don't you just wish that they didn't even bother? Rather than getting positive, maybe with a comment?

Is this just me? It's only happened once, and I'd given up hope, and am pretty annoyed.
I know the feeling. You spend like three hours on something and it looks like the other person spent 10 minutes on it.  Sad

No proof of shipping? My dad sent my bag out, so I have no proof from her. (Yes, it's a her. No name though.) But PpCakes said she recieved.(:

I can't wait to get mine. I've been needing a new monster bag since Scrumps is falling apart on me. Poor guy.
