1  Tawdry Little Pocket Rocket in Needlework: Completed Projects by crafterdark on: February 17, 2018 02:42:42 PM
Pocket Rocket-my latest thing.  Wink   designed and stitched this lovely little gem for a quick finish just yesterday... I love getting the little ones done while I chug away on some huge projects that really just seem to well, take forever. Hope you like it!  Have a great day!

2  Going Against the Grain with More Subversive Cross Stitch! in Needlework: Completed Projects by crafterdark on: December 30, 2017 01:26:04 PM
Made this little gem for my gluten free hubster.  Gotta try to find a place to hang it in our kitchen...perhaps between my delicious pasta that tastes like wheat and his weird-assed teff flour and sorghum gum.  Blick. Cheesy  Hope everyone celebrating had a lovely holiday!

5  The Debbie Downer aka A Backstitching Odyssey in Needlework: Completed Projects by crafterdark on: November 05, 2017 07:33:04 AM

Finished this little demotivator for a pal's spouse last night...I watched three films whilst just doing the backstitching around the font and borders...my hand hurts from the time spent, and my bum hurts or feels more pancake like from the hours of fusion to my sofa.  But I love how it turned out, and hopefully my pal, and their spouse will too!

6  And now for something a little risque. Church tongue. in Needlework: Completed Projects by crafterdark on: October 21, 2017 08:31:56 AM

This project, which I'm calling Church Tongue, took quite awhile as it was my first stitching on linen.  My eyes are bleeding from all the counting and recounting.  I am not a delicate effing flower that's for sure after all that.  Looking forward to some aida based stitching on something new tonight, but I'm pleased with how this turned out (except my randomly good/bad french knots-I mean why do I bother?).

My newest design and finish.  Muff Diver.  Yummy Smiley

Inspired by lots of fantastic art nouveau ironwork I spotted on a recent research trip to Paris, especially that seen at station Abesses and Reaumur-Sebastopol stations of the Paris métropolitain.  love love love.

8  Nelson Mandala is finished! in Needlework: Completed Projects by crafterdark on: July 16, 2017 11:19:37 AM
Finally finished stitching this bad boy, Nelson Mandala.  Designed it myself and based it on the Simpsons' character Nelson Mandela Muntz.  Had a lovely time designing and stitching it...I liked the fact too that I could see progress every day!  Enjoy!

9  Little Miss Molly's Outdoor Adventure in Needlework: Completed Projects by crafterdark on: May 08, 2017 08:53:28 AM
It appears Molly has had it up to there with the likes of her little bonnetted friend. I did too and stabbed this beauty out over a few days and get past the rage. Of course, I also like subverting hokey stuff that reminds me of those bygone, but more innocent days of childhood when we smoked in the girls' room, listened to Motley Crue, and teased our hair closer to heaven with toothbrushes and Aquanet.

**added a little X over the curse word if that's useful for the moderators!
